Hotel set away from main area at the top of a fairly steep incline, but not far from amenities ( approximately 150 metres). Everywhere within easy reach, and plenty of seating areas available. Astounding beaches all within easy reach. The Hotel looked a little tired from outside, but was very well presented internally. My wife and I had a standard...

We booked this as a walk-in having found the details on line. This is a Shearings hotel and although no spring chickens ourselves we must have been the youngest by 20 years. We got the last of 84 rooms which was very small a sloped badly, so much that the foot of the bed was higher than the pillow end....

Last year I had a very bad experience at this Hotel. Thank you Shearings because I believe you listened to customer feedback. The Manager Conrad and Sylvie were helpful and pleasant as always despite I believe, restrictions on finance from the top. The quality of food has increased by 100% also the availability of extra items and the size of...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, I am glad to hear that you felt the hotel had improved since your previous stay. The room that you were in was refurbished in January along with plenty of other rooms so it is a pleasure to hear that the difference is appreciated. With the current rising costs we...

We have just had a 3night stay here and in general the break was value for money. I agree with the recent 'crafty advertising' comment, as we too were in the older part of the Hotel, which isn't shown in the advertising photos. That means creaky uneven floors and dated decor. Our twin room was clean and the beds comfortable,...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, personally I do not feel that we are doing crafty marketing. We have showcased our bedrooms, lounge, bar, reception and restaurant in the brochure images, these places are the areas in which guests spend the most time. Over the past few years, as a company Bay Hotels have invested mass...

We booked this place directly with Bay Hotels and only afterwards learned of its connection with Shearings Holidays, which owns it. The hotel is in a good location, within a few minutes’ walk of the railway station, bus station and town centre. A degree of mobility is required as the ascent returning from any of these is steep. The hotel...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. That hill can be quite tiring at times however there is a bus that you can get up on from the town for fairly cheap. We hope to see you again in the future. Warm regards Carl Sunley...

Booked break, after looking at the front pictures of the hotel and internal photos from the hotels website. We arrived and everything seems ok, but then we walked to our hotel room. The hotel runs from two hotel buildings, but with no pictures of the old run down facility that the rooms are in. The corridors, walls and ceiling are...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, I am sorry that there was an issue with your bed. I do say this often however had you reported this I am adamant that this issue could have been resolved. I understand your comments regarding the corridors however I do not know what smell you are implying to. As...

Hotel is in a great location overlooking the beach and handy for the town and station. It was very busy over the Easter weekend but the restaurant staff were always smiling and helpful. Lovely fresh hot food served quickly and a good choice on menu. Lovely buffet breakfast with fresh tomatoes (not canned) tasty bacon, fried eggs etc and fresh...

Have travelled with Shearings many times. We had been to this hotel quite some time ago(On a weeekend break) We were pleasantly surprised, it had been redecorated and a lot of refurbishment had been done. We love St ives (Even if it is quite busy in the Spring and Summer!) Staff were very helpful food was good. Went by coach...
