Me and my boyfriend stayed for 3 nights in July, the weather during our stay was beautiful. The hotel made our stay even better. As we arrived we were politely greeted and our bags were carried to our room, the rooms were of wonderful condition and very comfortable and stylish. Breakfast was served everyone morning with choices of hot and...

Situated in the centre of a bustling seaside resort this hotel serves a variety of meals which are speedily prepared to an acceptable standard. Staff were friendly and welcoming and wifi access was available

Went on a Sunday so the menu was limited if you don't fancy the Sunday lunch. Very nice bar,.and if you have a dog they are welcome. The food was good pub food. Nothing to complain about or rave about. We went there a couple of times during our stay as the beer was the best in town (the Cornish...

My first visit here was very enjoyable, but something gone awry since. Whilst the room was very clean, it was furnished, well, a bit haphazardly. It was a family room, so had bunks, but just felt a bit unloved. Service in the bar/restaurant was not as good as before. The barman on the day we left was almost rude. A...

Perfect location if you want to be in the heart of St Ives. Located on one of the main streets with all the shops & only a few meters from the sea front. We found the hotel using the sat Nav but as the street was so busy with people we were unable to pull up to unload bags. We...

We were expecting a traditional pub meal when to our surprise we were served food that was soo delicious fresh and good quality we felt it masterchef worthy. The service was totally lovely and friendly. We even had some live music which was fabulous. Highly recommend this pub to anyone visiting St Ives!

As a 21st birthday present me and my boyfriend spent a weekend in St Ives in November. The hotel was chosen by someone else so I didn't know what to expect and it was a happy surprise. The staff were very welcoming and we paid on arrival. The pub itself was was quaint and quiet, we enjoyed drinks in there...

We arrived in St Ives tired and stressed after a long dive from kent. We had sorted our things into our amazing rented apartment and went off to look for a nice meal and friendly welcome. Sadly so had everyone else that day. We tried several restaurants only to b turned away. We stumbled upon the Queens Hotel just as...

We stayed for 2 nights in mid August, the hotel is quirky and smart and our room was clean. We stayed on the very top floor which was really hot but they had provided a fan already in the room which helped. The breakfast was a selection of cereals, fruit crossaints etc that you help yourself too and then you...

Ate with the family today very over priced asked for Mayo with the burgers put it on the burgers then find out its horseradish complained but they didn't care. The food was good just overpriced for the amount you get. Roast was especially over priced. Waitress service wasn't all great either

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Queen's Hotel is a late-Georgian, three-story building in the heart of picturesque St Ives. 5 mins from the harbour and beaches, we have ten en-suite bedrooms, which have been redecorated with vintage furniture and Cornish artwork hanging on the freshly painted white walls, plus sparkling new bathrooms with new showers. Downstairs is a relaxed and friendly bar with delicious pub food that was awarded an AA rosette in 2011. Everything is prepared on the premises - the menu is chalked up on the board daily using the finest local, seasonal ingredients Cornwall has to offer. Bread baked daily. Homemade ice-cream. Local beers. Warming fire. Children are very welcome: upstairs a camp bed and a travel cot are available to borrow, all windows have black-out blinds; downstairs there are boardgames + toys in the light and airy bar, baby-changing, and children's portions available. The harbour front and Fore Street are under five minutes walk away. Selected by Alastair Sawdays. ... more   less
