The guest house was in a great location around 5/10mins walk to carbis Bay beach. Pete and Jan were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Fridge in room was brilliantly stocked with waters, orange juice, cereal bars, croissants, yogurts, fruit, milk and eggs. Also had an egg maker in the room which was a nice touch and also some cereal. I've very rarely come across this level of service and I stay in large chain hotels every week for work!! Large double bed which was very comfy, Free parking at the house was a bonus as some hotels charge for parking. Small children's play area across the road was an added bonus. Will definitely be staying again when we visit next year.

This hotel was booked last minute, but I was happy to see that it was lovely and clean and great location. We even got a text and call from the landlord to welcome us and how to contact them if we needed which was a nice touch.
When entering it was easy and contactless which was good because of covid.
The hotel was very clean and the decor was nice and modern which I liked. The bathroom was clean however, some mould on the grouting and the air con system leaked whilst we were there causing the floor to become wet so we put a towel down. Also the was no breakfast which we were really gutted about and after going back to our booking it stated in the small print that due to covid they couldnt do breakfast , this could have been made clearer on the booking and even reduce the price of the room really .However they did provide us with some sort of breakfast replacements like porridge in a container. Really great location 10 mins to Carbis beach and 40 min walk to St Ives, or you can catch a train which was really cheap at about 1 pound each way and you are able to check out the nice scenery whilst onboard! 5 min walk to the chippy and a cafe and there was a shop close by for any bits and pieces you need. Overall nice stay would recommend :)

Our first impression was that this place has seen better days but we soon realised we’d found an affordable gem. We had a small room, which was very cosy, but more than adequate if you are out for most of the day. Very comfortable bed and lovely fluffy towels. Fridge refilled daily with water, juice, snacks etc. tea and coffee facilities, even an egg boiler. Parking on site for a limited number of cars. It’s about ten minutes walk downhill to the station (£1 to St Ives). There’s a chemist, mini supermarket, cafe and Spanish restaurant within 100m. If you’re a light sleeper I’d recommend bringing earplugs and an eye mask.

If you ever need advise or need help ask the locals, they're so helpful . BEAUTIFUL PLACE..Must visit St.Ives..Bare in mind the bus timings and also would recommend the day pass if travelling by bus. Purtocurno has its beautiful beach highly recomended to take the top open bus if travelling there..Restaurants are great there. Also dont miss the the light house boat ride to watch the seals at St.Ives...Enjoy,❤

I stayed 2 nights at Beechwood with my boyfriend and we had a lovely time. We had peacful night sleeps, and woke up to a lovely breakfast. The rooms were clean and modern. The owners are lovely people always happy to help, and gave us plenty of information about places to visit. If I need to come back again to St Ives I would book beechwood again. Thank you.

Stayed for 2 nights at Beechwood after booking on the Internet. The only room left was a small double and the room was very small as was the bathroom. That said it was very comfortable. Warm welcome from the owners and lots of information on places to visit. Coastal path was a fantastic walk although hard work on the way back. St Ives is a lovely place to visit and close to drive to other attractions. Breakfast was filling and a great way to start te day. Would definitely recommend for a short stay.

My partner and I stayed at Beechwood for 4 nights in September whilst I was visiting family. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was beautifully fiited out. It had all the ammenities that one would expect from a more expensive place. I do have one minor criticism and thats to do with the positioning of the en-suite door (room 10) the door would be better if it had a cavity sliding door installed instead of the outward opening door that bumped onto the side of the bed. Thats the only complaint I have. The breakfasts were very good and presented in a nice friendly atsmosphere. I would reccomend Beechwood to any of my friends or relatives. We had a very enjoyable stay.
