I try to visit the St Ives at least once a year, and brought my boyfriend to an old favourite for the first time last week. We stayed in this gem of a b&b, which is not dated, but traditional and quaint. I think it would be an awful shame to see the place modernised as some of these reviews...

Stayed last weekend here and the place is a little dated but you are well looked after. They cleaned the rooms each day and breakfast was excellent; choice of various cereals, fruit, yogurt and full English with tea or coffee and Apple or orange juice. Stairs to most bedrooms and stairs to the breakfast room. Each room has a TV...

Spent 6 nights and really enjoyed my stay. First impressions - my room was a bit shabby with fussy furnishings. The ensuite was tiny, the basin so small there was nowhere to put a bar of soap. But all this paled into insignificance with the view of the harbour from my chair by the window and I came to love...

A somewhat fraught start to our break. I naively assumed the Grey Mullet would have parking. It does not. It would have been useful to have been advised in advance that none was available. On arrival in St Ives we followed the car’s SatNav through increasingly narrow cobbled streets, ending up like a cork in a bottle outside the Grey...

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Room was adequate size with four poster bed, bath/shower and plenty of storage. Breakfast was excellent in terms of choice, quality and quantity served in spotless dining room and well laid table - nice to have material napkins and not usual paper ones and service was perfect. I did try to reduce my breakfast by...

Very friendly B&B. Great central location on the harbour. Beautiful exterior, old-fashioned and quirky interior of this centuries-old building. Very generous, hard-working and helpful host Anita and amusing breakfast times with Jane. Good accommodation and welcoming of solo guests. Those looking for wi-fi/internet connection will be disappointed as this is something very much needed to update the Grey Mullet, as...

Gorgeous B&B, full of charm and character. I felt so welcome and spoilt by the lovely Anita that I extended my stay an extra night. The breakfast was delicious and the location couldn't be better. I'm definitely going back next year!

Our third visit to the Grey Mullet was as pleasant as the first two. Anita and Jane made us feel very welcome yet again. Perfect location for all that St Ives has to offer (Sorry for the belated review).
