Visited here just for a drink when in st.Ives and was really pleased that we did as the atmosphere was very welcoming by the barman(he had glasses and a beard) and the mulled wine was lovely. We had a look at the menu which looked lovely and will definitely eat here when next in St. Ives.

We stayed in the quarter deck room, just behind the sloop. Lovely clean white linen and decour. Very warm and cosy. Quiet and peaceful. The sloop has good choice of food and not too expensive. Every meal we had was delicious and plentiful. Plenty of choice of ciders. Reasonable prices for doubles! Great atmosphere for the meat raffle on Friday... More

What a charming place. The public bar looks like it hasn't changed since it was built and we came here twice, once for just an evening drink and once for lunch. There is a much larger lounge bar with plenty of seating but it was really cosy in the public bar with what looked like locals enjoying a pint. We... More

Fantastic freshly grilled gurnard and yummy fish pie sat outside in the sunshine at the Sloop My husband said it was the best fish pie he had evertasted. Gurnard was delicious. Grilled to a turn with black pepper and fresh lemon Nice new potatoes served with melted butter over them and a good salad. Pub is dog friendly. Staff are... More

Lovely old pub, very welcoming staff. Drinks reasonably priced, good wine selection. Didn't eat here but the food looked really good. As it's so old it can be a bit dark with the low ceilings, but that just adds to its charm. There is an outside eating area which is usually full, so I would say booking to eat there... More

I have been visiting the sloop for years on my trips to Cornwall and it is by far my favourite pub ever. This time I was able to stay overnight at the sloop and was not disappointed. We stayed in the lookout room which had the most stunning views from the big corner window. Sleeping with the sound of the... More

At £109 per night B&B this place is overpriced for what you get. It was impersonal and seemed to revolve around making the management happy rather than having a customer focus. Good points - room size, cleanliness, individual staff. Bad points - noise of bottles being tipped into a skip right outside our room at 10pm, 6am, breakfasts basic with... More

Called in for a quick bite and decided to sit inside. It is very dark although the drawing on the walls are good. The food came quickly and must say was very good. How ever I thought the bar man was very rude to a family that came in with a pushchair, saying there was a sign saying no pushchairs... More

This is a great pub for sitting outdoors and people watching. The seating faces the lovely harbour and looks across the bay and town. Being on the quayside, many people pass to and fro throughout the day. The beer is good and there is a large menu to tempt you to a snack or larger meal. Whilst I haven't eaten... More
