My son is attending the University so went to spend a few days to see how he has settled in. I caught the train from Paddington and got off at Exeter St David. This is the closer station. You exit the station, go up the walking alley (it truly is up so great workout with luggage), turn left on St... More

Spent two nights here visiting my son at university. Car parking is tight but thankful that they have some. Location is handy for shops etc. Clean and comfortable. Dog friendly. Breakfast ok. Plenty to eat. Shower was electric and a bit hot/hotter. Overall for us a more interesting, comfortable and convenient place to stay.

Very warm welcome and an excellent Receptionist who was very helpful with taxis, restaurants bookings and milk for the room. Well placed to walk into Exeter and the breakfast was great. Our room was just ok, the curtains did let the light through so had some problems sleeping, and the fire door slamming outside our room wasn't ideal. We thought... More

Arriving at Exeter St Davids on a dark winters evening with no accommodation booked not ideal but 10 minutes walk and I stumbled across the Telstar. With the vacancy sign alight it was a no brainer to try and after a pleasant Devon welcome I was booked into my superior single en-suite. A comfortable nights sleep after a long day... More

Spent one night at the telstar hotel recently and found it very nice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful breakfast was good with plenty of choice even had a vegetarian option which was good for my wife and I. Parking was a bit tight around the back of the hotel so my advice would be to get there... More

We spent two nights here in November. Hotel is in a perfect position for university, station and town centre. Accomodation was nice and clean though room quite 'snug' particularly the ensuite shower room. Breakfast was really lovely - served in nice breakfast room. Big choice of hot and cold food. Parking is pretty tricky as they are very tight for... More

The staff of The Telstar is welcoming and friendly. The location is close to the heart of Exeter. My room was not in the main building. It was a bit smaller than I had anticipated, but since I wasn't there much, it worked. My first night the heating didn't work, so it got quite chilly. The room was also a... More

After a number of stays in sterile hotel chains, the family-run Telstar was a breath of fresh air. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even provided a sandwich when I was unable to take breakfast one morning. And, wow, what a breakfast it is! Great choice of cereals, fruits, juices, homemade jams (Pam's strawberry is particularly scrummy!) and, of... More

The Telstar is a really welcoming and good value B&B. The staff and friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and have everything you need, including filter coffee and quality bathroom products. Breakfast was delicious with vegetarian and vegan options as well as lots of cereals and fruit. Highly recommend staying here.

Nothing to complian about. Everything was amazing. Rooms were perfect: wide, clean and very nice. All the staff are so lovely and friendly. Breakfast was very good and cheapy. The hotel got a good position and you can reach the city centre in less than 10 minute on foot. I really raccomand it.

Thank Noemi C
