What a hidden gem this hotel is! From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't of been more accommodating and helpful. We had booked a family room for one night to celebrate our son's 21st birthday who is a student of Exeter University. The hotel is quirky and beautifully decorated. The room was clean and was a good size. Ann...

I recently stayed at the Telstar for two nights as a part of a small group tour. The room was clean and organised, with desk, wardrobe, television, ensuite bathroom etc. There were tea and coffee facilities in your room if desired. The kitchen/ dining room is gorgeous and the breakfast is delicious. It really had character. It was easy walking...

Visited Telstar on University visit to Exeter; it is centrally located and handy for the task. My two six foot sons and myself shared a room which was a little small for the task but adequate, plus we had been offered a bigger room, so that was good. The third bed was an OK put you up. I like the...

A rather frosty welcome but this was definetely forgotten after Donna served us a top notch breakfast ! First class. Rooms quaint and a good nights sleep was certainly had. Great to explore the city from here and the hills aren't that bad. Recommended.

This is a renovated structure with quaint, but somewhat small rooms. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds and were a little cramped for 3 people with luggage- but manageable. Bathroom clean. View from back parking lot was panoramic. Parking available but not obvious until we spoke with the reception. Great breakfast. Free WiFi. Quiet during the night....

Me and my Boyfriend stayed here just for a night away, but needed somewhere central so we could go out in the evening and it not be to much of a trek. Checking in was quick and we where welcomed and given the keys for our room but not shown to our room but just told where it was. (Personally...

Brilliant location for the centre of the city. Very comfortable room for two with a great bed. The breakfast was delicious and, as far as I know locally sourced, and the jam from the owners allotment was fantastic. All in a very reasonable price for a great stay and I will be back.

The room was on the small side but perfect for what was required. It was comfortable, quiet with friendly staff. The city centre is a five minute walk from the hotel. It has parking on-site but it is tight and can only fit a few cars so try and arrive early if possible.

We chose this hotel after reading various review sites as we wanted somewhere near to the university as that was the main purpose of our visit. We arrived at 1:30 and expecting only to be able to leave the car in the car park (which as many reviews said is quite tight to get into and only accommodates 5 cars...
