Went here for a working lunch with some friends, and had a lovely starter of prawns and crab on ciabatta. A friend had the soup and it came with a huge chunk of lovely homemade bread (she shared it with us) and very large bowl of soup. Only downside was it was pretty cold in the area we sat in,...

I can only review the restaurant as we weren't staying at the Inn. I was expecting typical 'pub food' but was really surprised. We had fish cakes which I know were purchased from a local farm shop which sells locally caught fish, vegetables are also purchased from a local farm shop, together with other food. Our meal was really good...

We arrived late afternon and were directed to our room to find it had not been serviced after the previous guests. We had to complain to get the room serviced but were given complimentary drinks in the bar while we waited. We then had to complain that the central heating did not work at all and were given an electric...

This was a one night stay. We didn't take breakfast as we were leaving early. The staff were helpful, friendly, welcoming and efficient. The room was basic but clean with en suite, clean towels, TV, kettle etc. all as would be expected. Access to rooms is direct from car park, so noise from people arriving and leaving, and the road...

We met two friends here for lunch and mainly chose it on ease of access from the motorway and not wanting to go to a 'fast food chain'. It was busy, vibrant and good. The menu is varied, food arrived quite quickly and was good. We shared a camembert starter, then went on to a Steak pie which was good,...

We arrived last night at around 7:30pm, the pub and restaurant was fairly busy and the atmosphere and ambiance was relaxed. Me and my partner went to the bar and asked if there was a table for two. The young lady on shift that day said yes please follow me and sat us down at a very pleasant table which...

Eaten here two weeks before and was amazing and great service. Booked for 18th birthday surprise. Food incredible, waiter was great. 2 starters forgotten and had to wait, 1 main, a Caesar salad forgotten and came as everyone had finished. Waiter was so apologetic and I felt for him as not his fault, we were told to pre order which...

We had a family Sunday Lunch and it was excellent value. The food was all freshly cooked and there was a good choice. Service was leisurely but in a way that meant you felt un-rushed and able to relax. My only real complaint was the layout of the tables meant that we were next to the loos and there wasn't...

We stayed here in a family room, which had a single and double bed with separate shower room. the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a meal in the adjoining pub, the food was good. It was very quiet, and we would definitely stay here again.

We had lunch at The Blue Ball today and I am sad to say that the service was awful and food terrible. I was looking forward to my plaice with muscles which was one of the most expensive things on the menu but was extremely disappointed! The fish was mushy and then I had to remove what looked like guts...
