Only stayed one night, but it's a well situated hotel, only a few mins walk into the city. Nice rooms and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Good value for money. Couldn't believe the train station is directly across the road. Next visit will be by train

1 night stay at this central hotel. It's a bit lacklustre despite some nice period features. Staff lacked energy and enthusiasm too but it was fine for what we paid. Privilege room was spacious comfortable and clean and the location was ideal. Reminded me of a premier inn without the friendliness but a big comfortable bed in the centre of...

Dear loltx I am sorry to read that you found our Hotel lacklustre - this is definately not what we are aiming for, particularly after a £2 million pound refurbishment of the guest bedrooms. Please be assured that guest service is normally something that the Hotel stands out on, so I hope that we can welcome you back and ensure...

I only stayed here for one night, I was attending a conference nearby. The hotel is in the heart of the city opposite the main railway station. My stay was comfortable, the staff were friendly and polite. The reception is open with a smattering of comfortable sofas, the rooms were spacious with a functional bathroom. The car park was a...

I was looking forward to this stay. Sadly disappointed, car park full, terrible directions from reception staff and got lost trying to find alternative parking.Hotel although once magnificent is now a bit tired. I went into the restaurant/bar to get a coke, walked out as bar staff more interested in each other than me as a customer (told the lady...

We booked this hotel as its nice and central and we used the same hotel many years ago. Don’t worry about trying to park in the hotels car park, it’s much easier to use the multi story car park almost next door. The hotel charge £1o and it’s always full, the public car park was just £12 for 24 hrs....

Second visit to this hotel. This time we stayed in a privillige room very quiet good size with excellent bathroom. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice. Drakes bar provided a pleasant location for an afternoon drink. The location is great for the city centre however the hotel car park is limited in size and we had to park in...
