We stayed on Saturday 19th November and dined in the hotel in a private room for a family birthday. The food was fantastic, and plenty of it. The staff couldn't be more helpful - they were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us. Even with a wedding going on on the premises the same day, this did not impact on...

Held a surprise birthday party for my wife here on Saturday (19th November). Throghout the planning and organization, (which started in September) the Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and efficent, suggesting and organizing table layout, menus drinks etc. On the day the layout had to be changed at very short notice to accomodate a video projection setup. Sue and Grace...

Stayed here overnight on way to Cornwall for excellent value £47 for double room bed and breakfast. Located a couple of miles from junction 29 off the m5. We stayed in the Coach House across the car park. Very comfortable room, warm, clean. Comfortable mattress, full bathroom, complimentary toiletries, large flat screen TV, tea/coffee /biscuits. All the staff particularly friendly...

Lovely grounds. Clean, cosy and warm rooms. Comfy beds. Great breakfast. Very friendly accommodating staff. Brimming with character we revisited this place after our sons wedding 5 years ago and 2 gorgeous grandchildren later. Near to numerous lovely places to visit. Still love the atmosphere of this charming place. Would come again.

I have to say that whilst it has the furniture straight out of Fawlty Towers, it makes up for it in terms of friendliness, service and decent sofas to relax in, The location isn't the best and it's not really accessible on foot to anything local unless you have a decent map. It's too far to walk to restaurants if...

Having stayed at virtually all the other affordable hotels in Exeter over many years, my wife and I wanted to try the Gipsy Hill Hotel. What a great decision! It's a traditional hotel with traditional values. Good size rooms, great value, nice bar and restaurant, good food, but best of all the staff were fantastic. Sue and the other staff...

We recently went to a dinner at this hotel. This was a special celebration, it was a 50th anniversary of a local organisation. There were around 50 of us there. The setting was good. We were on big round tables, of about ten per table. We had previously chosen our menu and paid for it. I had pate to start...
