My wife and I spent five relaxing days at Gypsy Hill where we found the staff friendly and helpful, in particular, Sue the manageress and Lisa the waitress. The room was reasonable and only the over bath shower I would mention as being a little scary as the bath surface was slippery. We ate in most evenings and all meals...

Due to my arthritis I had requested a ground floor room, which was available. Unfortunately this was the coach house, where these were very small and the bed was right up against the wall. There was a TV in the room but it was very uncomfortable to sit on the chair and watch. Also the sound proofing was not very...

We went with a couple of friends to have a chill out weekend and this we got. The staff on arrival and throughout our short stay were very friendly and polite. Our rooms were clean and tidy, linen spotless. The only problem we had was that the rooms were stuffy especially on ground floor where you are not always able...

The staff could not be more friendly or helpful especially Sue and the young lady and gentleman who attended table in the evenings, however we stayed for 7 days and dined on 6, and in that time the menu did not change, perhaps they could at least consider a "chefs special" on occasional nights. The impression given on the web...

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a friends wedding in May 2016 - i think our room was £65.00 including breakfast which was a bargain. The hotel is dated and the rooms aren't very big but it was comfy and had everything we needed. The shower was done as a wet room so did get water all over the...

Friendly welcome and staff. Lovely comfortable beds. Shower in the bath is not good for me but once I managed to get into the bath the shower was adequate. Only downside was the food at dinner time. Limited menu and one item was no longer available. maybe should have tried the bar menu. Breakfast good. Might stay again if I...

As overseas tourists, we found the hotel difficult to find. Our Sat-Nav sent us down a road with bollards erected so we had to find our own way (we did notice road works in the area so hopefully this will be rectified soon). Staff were courteous and efficient. The grounds are beautiful and park-like. The room was comfortable and fairly...

Stayed here for 3 nights, with my elderly parents in 2 rooms. Staff were helpful but this place is nothing out of the ordinary. Outside needs a refurb and it wouldn't kill them to clean the table tops and empty the ashtrays once in a while. Gardens were nice but you could hear the constant hum of traffic. We stayed...
