A city centre hotel that offers a great pub of character that is part of the hotel. This place is a bit quirky and in many ways isn't really a hotel, but a good pub with decent food and rooms. Parking is good and staff very friendly. My colleague had a room in the new section and felt it was... More

My wife and I have stayed here on 3 diffrent occasions over the last 18 months. Rooms are good and very comfy, with a more than decent standard, en-suite. Some rooms are in the very old C1600 part of the building and some are in modern block. The hotel has a lovely old style pub which has a charming walled... More

We had an overnight stay here and were really pleased with the hotel. The staff were all so friendly, room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was fantastic. Overall a fab hotel for a very reasonable cost. We'll visit again 😀

I had a Peri Peri Chicken Burger and it was to AMAZING. The chicken was well cooked and the sauce wasn't too over powering. Came out in good time. The staff always had a smile and were polite. Really good value for money :)

For visiting Exeter, this hotel was perfect, is was not fancy in any way, but clean and good value for money. The staff were very polite and informative; the room, while old fashioned, was clean and had character. The breakfast was amazing and we would definitely look to stay here again when visiting Exeter.

Hi Julie, Thankyou for your review. Thankyou for recognising our value, we are very much in the Value market and not a traditional hotel. We are not fancy in the fact we are not a starred hotel. We offer our guests a Great Value, Clean & comfortable stay with a warm & friendly, down to earth service. We look forward... More

Very welcoming and attentive staff. Lovely fresh, clean room and an excellent bathroom. A very good breakfast to set us up for the day. Best of all was the room rate we got! Such good value, Nothing really to lower the score, other than a rather sluggish TV remote. It probably needed fresh batteries...

What a gem - had no idea how interesting our accommodation was going to be. Just a room in a pub - no. Admittedly we booked the Suite - well worth it. An amazing room on the second floor - the whole floor - of this 600+ yr old Inn. The huge bathroom boasted a claw legged bath and the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The White Hart Hotel is a Public House which boasts 55 newly refurbished en-suite bedrooms (October 2015). All are non-smoking and inclusive of full English breakfast and FREE PARKING. The hotel is an old 'Coaching Inn' built in 1356! And is situated in the City Centre within the old city walls. There was an extension built on the back for 32 of the rooms in 1971 (These rooms have lift access). However the remainder rooms including the suite are located in the 'Old Part' above the Inn (These involve stairs and no lifts.) This part is a 'listed'property as the building is an 'historical place of interest' due to its part in Medievil history. The Pub boasts a large 'Chargrill Menu' concentrating on Steaks, Burgers & traditional pub classics to suit all tastes. There are 2 bars. The 'Tap Bar' is open 7 days a week and is traditional 'Olde Worlde' pub still with all the Medieval fixtures & fittings that has lots of fine Real Ales to choose from. And a 'Cider Bar' that opens at weekends and was newly refurbished in October 2015 & is where breakfast is served every morning. The pub also boasts an exclusive 'Secret Garden' very popular with couples. It's ideally situated to enjoy all the city has to offer, from its famous Gothic Cathedral, The Quay & the Princesshay shopping centre. ... more   less
