Stayed here for one night with my partner.. I have stayed severel times on cricket tour here so knew about the place anyway. Lovely room, comfy bed too!! And the breakfast the next day was delicious.. The only one problem was our noisy neighbours in the next room.. But apart from that perfect hotel and we will be back soon!!

Stayed here for a night with family. Shared a twin room and family members had a double room. Both rooms were quite spacious although the door stop behind the door was quite restrictive. The hotel was very clean but the rooms and bathrooms could do with a bit of care to bring them up to scratch. Most importantly the bed...

My husband used to drink in the White Hart in his Uni days and it was great for him to go back as a respectable man in his 60s! Good atmosphere in the bar and the food was excellent. Staff were friendly and the room and bathroom were clean, modern and warm.

A good location if arriving by car - easy to find, central and with parking. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful and the place is clean. The decor is rather drab and outdated though and this is not the place to bring someone you are trying to impress. The breakfast is probably geared to business customers - good cooked...

I asked for a quiet room and was given room 1 in the original part of the Hotel. Comfortable bed and certainly much quieter than rooms at the front. Bathroom was cold as window don't shut and walls are paper-thin. Very nice staff and overall enjoyed our stay.

Really enjoyed our stay here, we have been before , the room was very clean and well decorated, very comfy bed, the breakfast was delicious and served until 11am great if you fancied a lie in. Lots of character, some parts of the hotel are old and could do with a bit of a spruce up however this did not...

Didn’t know what to expect, very pleasantly surprised. The inside is like a Tardis. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and modern, plenty of room with a good size wardrobe. Tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits. Bottled water replenished every day. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The bars and dining rooms were in the old part of the building, very...

Thoroughly recommend this hotel. Was greeted with a warm welcome from reception. Room was very clean and comfortable with all that I needed. Radiator wasn't working well so they send someone up straight away with an offer of another room with help to move if they couldn't sort it. Breakfast was great with a good choice on offer with yet...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The White Hart Hotel is a Public House which boasts 55 newly refurbished en-suite bedrooms (October 2015). All are non-smoking and inclusive of full English breakfast and FREE PARKING. The hotel is an old 'Coaching Inn' built in 1356! And is situated in the City Centre within the old city walls. There was an extension built on the back for 32 of the rooms in 1971 (These rooms have lift access). However the remainder rooms including the suite are located in the 'Old Part' above the Inn (These involve stairs and no lifts.) This part is a 'listed'property as the building is an 'historical place of interest' due to its part in Medievil history. The Pub boasts a large 'Chargrill Menu' concentrating on Steaks, Burgers & traditional pub classics to suit all tastes. There are 2 bars. The 'Tap Bar' is open 7 days a week and is traditional 'Olde Worlde' pub still with all the Medieval fixtures & fittings that has lots of fine Real Ales to choose from. And a 'Cider Bar' that opens at weekends and was newly refurbished in October 2015 & is where breakfast is served every morning. The pub also boasts an exclusive 'Secret Garden' very popular with couples. It's ideally situated to enjoy all the city has to offer, from its famous Gothic Cathedral, The Quay & the Princesshay shopping centre. ... more   less

“Room 15 is above the cider room and therefore a little noisy, not that this bothered us. The newer wing of the hotel would quiet.”
