I stayed here for two nights after I read good reviews of the hotel. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with my own experience. Upon arrival I was promptly checked in by the hotel staff, but was given a tiny room on the third floor which was quite a trek up the narrow staircase with bags. (I hate to think what...

Booked the Georgian Lodge with only a few days to go until my stay - got a single occupancy double room for £58, plus the £5 supplement for breakfast. The location is fantastic, only 10 minutes from Exeter St Davids station, a couple from Exeter Central and about 15 minutes from St James' Park station (plus the football ground). On...

We only stayed the one night, but we were greeted nicely, the hotel was well kept and clean. We had (I think) room number 2, which is on the bottom floor, but has access to a small garden area and a skylight (which was nice). The room was well lit and warm, the bed was very comfortable. The shower is...

Stayed here for one night. The single room was spacious and clean, and the fried breakfast excellent. I had a room on the back which was quiet. Car park in front of hotel charges from 8am but I was offered a free residents permit. Excellent location near to the city centre.

The location was close to both train stations, a college, old town, and restaurants. Walking to the quay was about a 25 minute walk up and down hills but interesting along the way. Red Coat tour guides offered great tours of Old Town, the Cathedral and the Quay. They presented history in funny, interesting stories. The hosts of Georgian Lodge...

Advised hotel of our ETA but still had to use phone at front door for someone to come to book us in. We were in both basement rooms each with a small patio with table & chairs and although quiet as situated at back of hotel we were rudely awakened at 6:30am by the staff preparing breakfast overhead - it...

On arriving we used the phone located at the front door and were promptly met by a man who booked us in an issued us with a parking permit where we were able to park directly outside the hotel. The room was in the basement with a small well-kept patio with a table and chairs. The room was perfectly adequate...

Booked hotel last minute on Booking.com as a stopover from Spain. For the money (£53, including a £5 breakfast) the room was very impressive. Clean, ensuite, great shower, TV, comfy bed, very handy location. The breakfast was great, well worth the fiver. Will use again if I'm in this part of the world.

Made a last minute reservation on booking.com, the receptionist hadn't even had a chance to prepare for us but was very efficient, professional as well as friendly and helpful, giving us an option for rooms, recommending things, etc. very straightforward and unpretentious. For the price (£53pn - travelodge £55!) we were so surprised at the lovely condition of the room...
