My husband and I stayed here in October while hiking the South West Coast Path. I had booked a room many months before and the only one available at the time was the Countisbury suite and my, was it ever lovely! Absolutely nothing to complain about, breakfast was included of course and was perfectly wonderful, the front desk was cheerful...

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We have been busy this Winter with the most intensive renovation since the buildings construction in 1815. We hope you will come back again to see the upgrade. regards Bill

We stayed here towards the end of the season. The room was good, the attic suite, with huge bathroom. The bath was standalone, and impossible for my wife to get in. Windows were in a poor state, though nice view. It seems that the hotel is to be turned into Apartments, hence the general somewhat run down feeling, threadbare stair...

Thank you for your response. We are slightly surprised that you should choose to wait until Xmas Day,.... more than two months after our end of season and your stay...., to post an inaccurate review. Your previous stay must have been some considerable time ago, as some of the facilities have been changed for some while, in order to reflect...

I cannot speak highly enough of the Lynton Cottage hotel. Our room was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean and the view... wow! we could happily wake up to that every morning. Breakfast was superb and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. If you're staying in Lynton, stay here. We certainly will be again :)

A great hotel, very quiet, and spotlessly clean. The staff were polite and friendly. Wonderful views over the Bristol Channel. Great place for a short break, close enough to the centre of Lynton so could walk in the evening for a meal, so had plenty of choice of places to eat, or stay in and have a pefectly good meal...

We cannot rate this little gem more highly, the staff were excellent and the proprietor Bill a delight. The rooms all seem to have great views over the Bristol channel. Our room was spacious, well appointed and a comfortable bed which we could sit up in to see the view! It is in a quiet location except for the gentle...

The hotel is unique as I don't believe there is another hotel locally with the same views, quiet location and exceptional service as we found during our stay. Room was immaculately presented, spacious and spotlessly clean. A lovely en-suite bathroom with teriffic bath/shower combination completed the space. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order with charming table service,we dined on one...

I think that the hotel has an ongoing schedule of up grading. We stayed in the C.S.Lewis Suite which was very comfortable with superb views over Lynmouth and out to sea. Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. The times for Dinner are restricted, due to the smaller numbers of people being served. A compromise to being exclusive to residents only, but in common with the practice of all the small Hotels in the town. We are pleased you found our C S Lewis Suite comfortable...
