This was our second visit to the Lynton Cottage hotel, we first stayed in May 2014. The improvement program is ongoing but this does not detract in any way. Guest comfort is of paramount importance here. The location is wonderful with fantastic sea views, but it is the effort put in by management and staff that make it so special....

My husband and I chose this hotel based on previous reviews. It is a very quirky hotel with the most staggering views! The beds were fabulously comfortable ensuring us tired City folk were able to have at least 10 hours sleep a night! As it is a very old building, the floorboards can be a bit creaky but I think...

This is a lovely old hotel dating back to 1815, the entrance hall is beautiful, we had an amazing sea view suite, with a claw foot bath next to the window so you could bath and enjoy the views. the bed was really comfortable and super king size and so lovely to sit in the easy chairs or lie in...

Thank you for your comments. We are pleased you enjoyed our C S Lewis Suite. We have a wide range of options to cater for as many variations of diet as the modern day customer demands. When a Guest is on a long stay however, this does put limitations on what we can offer. Fortunately the local Restaurants are just...

Like many hotels in Lynton the Lynton cottage has amazing Clifford views. The rooms are beautifully in keeping with the time the hotel was built. Food is good and the atmosphere is relaxing and tranquil.

Comfy beds, nice breakfasts, incredible views across the Bristol channel from just about every window. A great location in Lynton, near to the cliff railway for hassle free access to the shorefront as well as being very near the coastal path.

We stayed for two nights, a last-minute booking to do some walking and unwind. We had a room at the top of the hotel with an amazing view and a balcony .The bed was very comfortable, all was very clean and there was plenty of hot water morning and evening. Breakfasts were excellent...possibly the best mushroom omelette I have ever...

We could not find fault with this historic hotel. Our room, no.1, was spacious, clean, beautifully furnished and had the most amazing view of Lynmouth Bay. The bed was extremely comfortable. The whole hotel was really peaceful, the only time we were aware of other guests was at mealtimes. We ate in on two evenings, the food was delicious, nicely...

In these days of motels and plastic hotels it is always good to visit somewhere with genuine history and character. Lynton Cottage Hotel delivers on all fronts. Panoramic views, friendly service, good facilities and...it even had parking. If you want to take a trip back to the days of Poirot, a grand seaside hotel and you need spoiling take in...

Wow, this hotel is fantastic!! We stayed here for 5 days in Sept and it was just perfection from start to finish. The building is very interesting, a bit Alice in Wonderlandish with doors and stairs all higgledy piggeldy in all directions, imagine this was one someone's house! We loved the Louisa Suite, it had great views and was nice...

Fabulous views of the cliffs greet you as you drive in. The hotel is historical , which means a few steps and stairs inside, but the views are worth it. Dined in restaurant watching light fade over the cliffs and sea.Magical.
