Dave and Anne are good hosts - helpful and welcoming. They were happy to serve a meal early to fit in with my plans. Spotless room comfortable bed (I had a double room at the front looking onto the church and the hillside beyond). Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Don't get too excited about the fridge in the room...

Dave and Anne make you feel very welcome. Great place to stay if you're walking the SW Coastal Path. Spotlessly clean and great full English breakfast. Free Wi-fi, free off street parking out of season and only a short walk from the town centre.

A weekend stay. Welcomed with a pot of tea( tea blended locally to suit the soft water) and shortbread whilst checking in. The room was on the first floor with a balcony. Good size room with en-suite shower. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Fresh milk in a little fridge, which is so much nicer than UHT milk pots. Close to...

Welcomed on arrival with a local pot of tea by the fire. Room was cosy spacious, warm and we had an amazing view. Breakfast is included and we thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the home made jams. The B&B is situated within walking distance of the high street, pubs and shops. The owners are able to recommend where to go for tea...

My husband took me to Lynton for my birthday in August. When we arrived at The Gables in Lynton we were offered tea and biscuits in the guest sitting room before being taken to our room. Gable Lodge had been recommended to us as a good place to stay so when we were up for a night recently, we decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed - the welcome was warm and friendly, the room very comfortable, especially the bed and the value for money excellent. Being a short walk from the town...

This was my second visit, almost two years after the first but the welcome that I received was like one from old friends. This is an exceptionally good guest house which puts hotels to shame. Anne and Dave are most hospitable proprietors who do all that they can to make the stay enjoyable. They know the area well and are...
