Lovely Apartment, must be the best location in Plymouth. Fantastic views of Plymouth Sound, and Dartmoor. Comfortable and very well equipped. Well placed for numerous eating and drinking places. Free parking is a bonus as all the streets around have charges.

We enjoyed our Christmas break at 1 Elliot Terrace. On arrival we noted that the Mayflower apartment was not suitable for elderly/ immobile guests (Which was an important part of our plans). We relayed this information to Steve and he immediately responded with options which proved to be very helpful. We were able to have the use of a more suitable apartment on Christmas Day. The Mayflower apartment has a wonderful location immediately adjacent to Plymouth Hoe (parking arrangements were good) -it is also pet friendly and we were able to easily exercise our dog. The apartment is very spacious, warm and generally comfortable. The kitchen in particular, is very well appointed. Parts of the apartment would benefit from decorative improvement. The ensuite bedrooms downstairs are luxurious but slightly small - giving little room for useful furniture. A wonderful location for a Vacation with easy access to reasonably priced eateries overlooking the spectacular Plymouth sound. Good support on-site from Andy and Jackie.

We stayed at the Mayflower duplex within 1 Elliot Terrace with friends it is a very lovely apartment, set over 2 floors with bedrooms and large kitchen in the basement of the building with the lounge on the ground floor which has great views over Plymouth Sound. The apartment was extremely clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. When we visit Plymouth again all of us have said we would stay at Elliot Terrace.

Dear Plum Locations, We thoroughly enjoyed our two-week stay. The Lady Astor apartment is excellent - the bedroom and the lounge/dining room are large, beautifully appointed and tastefully furnished. The kitchen is “state of the art” and very well equipped. The bathroom has been tastefully updated with a very good shower. The free parking facility is a welcome bonus. The maintenance manager, Andy, was always available and could not have been more helpful. We have one major concern - the heating. We stayed during a relatively cold period including a couple of very stormy/windy days. Andy explained that the heating system is remotely controlled and is set at 18 degrees C. There is a booster button on the internal monitor (just outside the bedroom/bathroom); by pressing this the heating can be boosted for a period of two hours to 25 degrees c but then reverts to the set temperature of 18 degrees C. Andy tried to get the set temperature increased to 21 degrees C, but this did not function consistently. The problem is that two of the rooms, particularly the lounge, are large and with high ceilings, which means that during cold periods the set temperature combined with the two-hour booster, do not heat the two larger rooms particularly the lounge to an acceptably high level, given that we spent the majority of our time in the lounge. I strongly suggest that during the main late autumn/winter period the set temperature should be fixed at 25 degrees C; during the warmer spring, summer and early autumn periods it can be set back at 18 degrees. My wife and I are 78 and 79 yoa respectably and feel the cold. Given that we paid over £3,000 for the two-week stay, we think it is not unreasonable that the heating system should be fixed at a higher level. Our other comment concerns the settee in the lounge, which is a bed-settee. While it is quite comfortable, we would suggest the provision of two or three large cushions would make it that much more comfortable. Andy said that the Covid restrictions could make this difficult but there are two small cushions on the bed. We trust that you will accept these comments as intentionally constructive rather than critical. We do not feel that the rental cost is unreasonable but action ref. the above points of concern would lift it’s value to 6-star from our current 5-star rating. We would be interested to receive your comments on the above points. We live in Spain and when in Plymouth we are visiting our younger son and his family who live in Elburton. We try to visit at least once each year and would certainly want to stay at 1 Elliot terrace and in the Lady Astor apartment on future visits. We wish you and Andy a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2022. Yours sincerely Tudor Gregory Ref the point about the heating the management replied immediately and are now dealing with this.
