Superb, friendly service and atmosphere. Comfortable ensuite room with the usual well stocked tea/coffee facilities. Excellent included breakfast (with vegetarian options) and very friendly helpful staff who offered loads of information on Plymouth and the local area if needed. Made the start of our daughter's graduation day easy and perfect. For the price, unbeatable. Thank you all at Alma Lodge, we will be coming back!!!

We enjoyed one night at the Guesthouse as a family of 5 - the room was perfect with a double and 3 singles. Clean and tidy with plenty of complimentary tea and coffee sachets, a kettle, hair dryer and little fan all included. We found the breakfast choices offered covered all of our tastes, and was lovely. A little noise from the road outside but this didn’t disturb us in the slightest even with windows open. The owners definitely made the stay - really friendly, lovely with the children and lots of local knowledge and advice for trips out. We originally booked via Booking.com (be careful when booking with this site!!!) who unfortunately cancelled our reservation and didn’t inform me - one phone call to the Guesthouse and this was resolved. Would definitely stay here again 😊

Visited during lockdown restrictions with my family. We had two rooms both triples. Rooms pleasant both en-suite and very clean. Tea/coffee biscuits miniature toiletries etc. Owners very attentive and really welcoming. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. Only fault was it was very warm in the rooms and it is on a busy road so opening the windows was not really an option if you are on the front. There is secondary double glazing to combat the noise and the rooms all had fans so it wasn’t too much of an issue. All in all a little gem and not too far from the city. (20 mins walk) would recommend and would stay there again if in Plymouth.

Lovely friendly guest house right where we needed to be as was visiting friends nearby. The owners are lovely, very welcoming and always ready for a conversation or to help with your daily plans. We stayed in the triple room at the back which was very quiet, clean and comfortable for our stay. I wouldn't recommend this room for small children though as it was a squeeze and it would be very difficult to shower them. The room worked well for us though so no complaints. You can't hear any outside noise and we slept with the window open! Breakfast was lovely and had everything you could possibly want! We would stay again :) thanks for having us!
