this trip was a business trip. the hotel was clean and well presented and staff where very good but far too expensive for what you got. Was in a good location. Bathroom very small and car park very limited.

Room average. Facilities tired. Greeting stoney and cold. Because there was a function no guests could have a bite to eat at lunch time and no evening meal available. Not very helpful at offering alternative help to strangers in the area. Breakfast staff delightful lovely helpful lady.

We arrived at lunchtime and an aroma of good food emanating from the kitchen so we immediately ate and had an excellent casserole served on piping hot plates - always a good sign! -- Owner and staff including the Michelin trained chef very welcoming - also a good sign of a good hotel! -- Hotel room and bathroom spotlessly clean... The first most important thing when arriving at your destination is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff which was in abundance here. I had everything I needed from a very comfortable room with good tv, great free wifi signal, room service and delicious meal. The breakfast was also very good quality given with lovely service. I would happily stay... More

We found the Invicta a very friendly place to stop, amazingly helpful staff, brilliant breakfast and a truly excellent bed. We will use this hotel again. The location is excellent, 5 minutes walk into Plymouth centre and right on the hoe for a quick walk after breakfast.

First visit to Plymouth - location excellent - just off the Hoe , 5 mins walk to city centre and 10 min walk to Barbican and university. Hotel very cosy, good standard of bedroom and bathroom - warm despite the weather being wild during our visit! Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and good choice.

A very well appointed and comfortable room. Wonderful owners and team of staff who looked after us very well from check in to late evening bar service (which is amazingly well stocked and unusually fairly priced for a hotel) right through to the bespoke freshly cooked to order breakfasts in the morning. These guys are obviously and quite justly proud... More

Really can't be more pleased about the overall experience we had at the Invicta Hotel. The food was at a very high quality and made the decision to eat in on a cold evening very easy. The room was immaculate and kept clean and tidy by the staff throughout our 5 day stay. The customer service was second to none.... More

We spent 3 nights in a ground floor twin room, which was clean, spacious, tea coffee, bottled water and a new ensuite. The staff were considerate, attentive and pleasant. During our stay we were looked after by the staff and treated to the most delicious meals of an evening. Breakfast was freshly cooked by order in addition to a range... More

“Can't fault the comfortable immaculately and spotlessly clean room or bathroom. The Invicta Hotel bathrobes in the wardrobe were a pleasant surprise and relaxing to wear after bathing. We've stayed in more expensive hotels that do not provide such a service, so indulge! ”
