I frequent plymouth to visit family and have always avoided staying in the city centre as I felt it could be noisy. I took a chance here and called the hotel and requested a quiet room. Was greeted by a lovely young lady who confirmed my room to be on the back of the hotel on 3rd floor. I slept soundly for my stay and didnt hear a peep. Room was clean and cosy and the staff were wonderful. Hotel in the heart of the city. I will be back

You know what to expect with these hotels - basic, clean accommodation at a good price. Staff were lovely and always at hand. The location was fantastic - in the heart of Plymouth, a stones throw from the museums, the Barbican and the town centre for shopping and dining. Some fantastic recommendations from the staff too

This Travelodge is well situated for all amenities. It is right next door to the Theatre Royal and is within walking distance of the Hoe and Historic Barbican areas. The Drake's Circus shopping centre and other shops are all just a few minutes walk away. The rooms facing out to the roundabout side of the hotel are surprisingly quiet and there was minimal corridor noise during the 4 days I stayed. The beds are of good quality too. Staff were friendly, particularly the manager Erdal who helped refund an extra night's stay. One disappointing aspect is there is nowhere to have breakfast so you need to leave the hotel and eat out or succumb to the overpriced breakfast box. The internet is not free and ought to be. Corridors are starting to look a bit tired but other than that if booked far enough in advance, it's good value for money.
