booking.com said check in was 2pm but owners said check in was 4 which was fine. The owners were lovely and very chatty. They seemed so friendly so I feel awful for this review but we got into the room and me and my partner sat on the end of the bed with our 6 week old baby and discussed about leaving for an hour. We couldn’t just afford to book another hotel or drive back to Shropshire (which is 4 hours away). We ended leaving and driving home the room was that bad. There is damp on the wall and ceiling. There were spots of blood on the pillows and the heating wouldn’t turn on. It is very very dated which we can cope with, We paid just under £77 for a night so we weren’t expecting 5 star. We went to reception in the end to express our concerns but no one was there so we just left in the end as I got that annoyed and we couldn’t see how anything could be changed as the whole building seemed to be the same. The bathroom wasn’t to bad and seemed to be very modern until I looked at the shower the door fell off the rollers. Everything seemed to had broken or was braking. There were white thick marks down the curtains, the kettle wouldn’t fit in the sink which was no good to us as we needed it to make the bottles up for our baby. I can honestly say I have never stayed in a place like it.…
I was in this chotel in August. Describing it in a few words .. Run down, not funded, no wifi, poor. But friendly service, only not entirely. After arriving at the chotel, I booked my car in the chotel system. And parking for free, that's how the service provided me. And ok. Ala in three weeks there are parking tickets 170 f. ?? I called the chotel after presenting my problem, I was assured that the owner will help me, and in two weeks I get reminders from the bailiff that I have 170f to pay. This is my story not to believe everything. I do not recommend it for a longer stay with children Avoid the apocalypse kriss
PLEASE READ! Ruined our trip to Devon and Cornwall. Went on the fly, son found hotel on way down. (He did not check the reviews properly and read a 5 star one!) due to book in late. Passed the hotel by accident on way to beach. Had to double take as looked like garden had been hit by Hurricane Katrina. Turned around as actually thought it must have shut down. Pulled into overgrown front. Walked up to it to see couple with their dog and 10 suitcases spralled out the front. Walked in and saw my first house flies of the year!! About 20 of them buzzing around in middle of foyer. Place stank of damp. Lounge was “one person only” die to Covid. Although clearly being used as second office and chairs barricaded up. Female host and male host disinterested and wearing sandals. Said I was cancelling as not seen as sold. Got home from trip and received parking ticket from being outside hotel on their ground for ten minutes whilst cancelling…
Lovely hotel staff, clean room , checked in early and upgraded my room at no extra cost,. The hotel was quiet and slept well in a comfortable bed, nice garden and free car park all which added up to a great weekend... will be returning
