Most reviews of this lovely place mention the view, the comfortable and spacious rooms and the wonderful location. However, the real USP of The Cary Arms has to be the staff all of whom were so friendly and helpful. I must make particular mention of Lewis who went out of his way to make my partner comfortable by reorganising the...

Wow! Wow! Wow! Just returned from 3 nights at this beautiful place with my other half and our puppy cavapoo Monty. Words cannot describe just how amazing it is. The staff seriously could not do enough for us - especially the general manager, the maitre de, the Canadian receptionist and our waitress Olivia! The rooms are light, airy with a...

The Cary Arms enjoys a location which is simply idyllic. Down a very steep road off the quaint village of Babbacombe, the inn is on the beach; at high tide, the water laps its lower terrace. The rooms all have great views of the secluded bay off Babbacombe Beach; to the left, accessible after a 10-minute walk at the foot...

A beautiful inn set in Babbacombe bay. Restored to the highest standard, excellent food menu, dog friendly, stunning views, great staff. Bar prices are a little high. However, venue is so worth a visit. Not sure that you would make it your "local" more a venue to take/meet friends. Accommodation, looked superb. All new and fresh for the season. Well...

We had a fabulous weekend here to celebrate my birthday. Access to the hotel is down a very steep road, however this all adds to the charm and the feel of getting away from it all! There are panoramic views across Lyme Bay from all areas of the hotel, however the best view by far had to be from the...

I have just returned from a wonderful stay at the Cary Arms, with my husband and dogs. What can i say, this place is simply amazing and I can't recommend it enough. Its very dog friendly, my two little Shih Tzu's were made so welcome, as were we, and we all had so much fun. Perfect getaway from it all,...

My wife, daughter and I had the Captains Suite. Two good sized rooms, the master with a terrace and lovely sea views. We stayed for 3 days and ate most meals here as well as used the spa. It is a very comfortable place but is as the name suggests more a pub with rooms than a luxury hotel but...

What a 'chic' find this place was. It has some spectacular views across the bay, and the food and accommodation was out of this world. We had one of their Beach Huts, which is fully contained , just a few yards from the main hotel. The balcony has some fantastic views out across Lyme Bay, and is all along the...

This beautiful little hotel sits right on the edge of a small bay and the views are simply stunning. The bedrooms and public rooms all make the best use of the view with large picture windows. Everywhere is sympathetically and comfortably furnished with lovely extra touches such as sloe gin and chocolate biscuits in your room. We dined twice at...

Having just returned from a long weekend at the Carey Arms, I can say I was extremely impressed by the way the team here have achieved that rare thing - getting all the big and small details just right together, to make for a perfect stay. Needless to say I would highly recommend a stay here irrespective of the duration!...
