This beautiful little hotel sits right on the edge of a small bay and the views are simply stunning. The bedrooms and public rooms all make the best use of the view with large picture windows. Everywhere is sympathetically and comfortably furnished with lovely extra touches such as sloe gin and chocolate biscuits in your room. We dined twice at...

Having just returned from a long weekend at the Carey Arms, I can say I was extremely impressed by the way the team here have achieved that rare thing - getting all the big and small details just right together, to make for a perfect stay. Needless to say I would highly recommend a stay here irrespective of the duration!...

I know this fabulous pub, for that is what it is, well before current owners Farrow & Balled it, adding posh huts accommodation and a 'spa' out the back. What used to be a great value pub food experience is now a 'max the margin' money machine. Aka cod and chips at £14 = smallish fish, literally 8 'hand cut...

We visited this restaurant and had an excellent meal. All our courses were accompanied by a wine and were described by the wine waiter in ample detail. The wines were not absolutely top class, but neither was the price and were very good value for money. My main course was 'Coq au Vin' which does not sound terribly haute cuisine,...

I saw this place years ago as a child and was always intrigued by its location. As a student doing fieldwork nearby I dropped in for a drink and was not disappointed by its ambience. Some 43 years later I've just returned from my second visit. We once again stayed in the Fleet Admiral room. Tastefully decorated, with stunning views of...

We only stayed for one nigh in one of the new beautiful "beach huts" and certainly had wished we had booked for a longer break. From the moment we arrived (bags delivered to our room and car safely parked by a very helpful member of the team) through to a delightful dinner, followed by a fab lunch with friends service...

The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The staff were friendly and the relaxed atmosphere suited us perfectly. The location is really lovely, a treat to be so near the sea and path for walking. The spa added to our weekend pleasure!

We stayed here for two nights in one of the new exquisite beach huts. The hut is nestled into the rocks giving you a panoramic view. The hut is decorated to a 6 star standard small touches like Brandy on arrival and a bed that's set on a mezzanine so when you lay down you can see the sea through...

After much research for a location to take my boyfriend away for his 40th I settled on here as it met my criteria of free parking, room service and big separate bath and shower. Finding it was no problem and I followed the scenic directions on the website. We were in the fleet admiral room (I asked for a non-dog...
