We stayed for two nights in Horsley suite and or friends in a Superior room. We all agreed, a superb hotel with friendly and very efficient staff. The food was quite excellent (recommend the duck) Our thanks to the chef, reception and the all restaurant workers for making sure our treat was memorable.
Had sparkling afternoon tea for my birthday today with my husband. The table was booked for 14.30 , we arrived at 14.20 approx. We went to reception and gave our booking details. The lady at the desk checked her watch and told us to take a seat and the dining room staff would come and get us. We sat there until 14.50 nobody spoke to us despite waiters and waitresses going back and forth regularly. Eventually my husband went to the desk and the lady there said she had nothing to do with the restaurant and was not a receptionist. A waiter then took us to a table and from there on the afternoon tea was really lovely . The waiter arrived with the wrong sandwiches but apologised and quickly replaced them. There clearly was a lack of communication when we arrived .
Stayed 3 nights in this lovely hotel and really couldn’t fault it ( apart from not having a lift which wasn’t a problem for us). We had a spacious and nicely refurbished room with a good size bathroom,coffee/tea facilities, very comfy bed and also a roof garden with nice furniture. We didn’t have the weather to use it unfortunately but was a great idea to add to the room. Plenty of parking and a bus stop very nearby. The food was excellent and the staff were helpful and friendly. Torquay was a bit disappointing but the hotel is in a nice spot well away from the town. Brixham and Dartmouth were both nice. Would definitely use this hotel again if we were in the area.
This place is just lovely. The staff were so helpful and organised and the place has a lovely atmosphere. The bedroom was lovely, we stayed in the coach house in a hot tub suite and I had a bath looking at the sea. A rare treat. Just perfect. The restaurant serves delicious food and overall This place surpassed expectations. We will definitely come back.
We held our Golden Wedding Anniversary lunch at Orestone Manor. We were so pleased we decided to go there. The food was delicious - everyone agreed and it was a very discerning group of 32! The service flowed, from the lovely warm bread which came as a matter of course, to the last delicious spoonful of dessert. Thank you Laura for your attention to detail and the staff. You all looked after us so well and made our Golden Wedding an occasion to remember.
