stayed here for Easter weekend. Absolutely lovely hotel, Peter made us feel very welcome on our arrival. Room spotless, with everything you need. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent breakfast, especially on our last day , I had boiled egg and soldiers with a lovely touch..... smiley faces on my egg 😊, still a child at heart, Literally 5 minute walk to...

This is an upmarket b&b and not a flown blown hotel so you may find the facilities limited. That said, if you want somewhere to rest your head for a day or two you can do a lot lot worse. It's a 5-10 minutes walk downhill to the harbour where there is plenty of choice for dinner (the hotel doesn't...

Great find - just what we required. Arrived earlier than anticipated to a warm welcome from Peter who provided us with lots of information on what Torquay has to offer. Due to a late booking we had little choice of room, however, it was all we needed with a comfortable bed and decent sized shower. Excellent breakfasts to start the...

Yet again, another excellent stay at the Haytor. Fantastic rooms, breakfast and location - it really is the best of the best in torquay. Very close to town with only a short walk, but also feels very tranquil at the same time. So it really is the perfect place to stay if you're visiting. Thanks 👌

We have visited Torquay many times but not stayed on this side of the town before. The Haytor is a beautiful property set back from the road in a lovely garden. There is ample parking ( a rarity in Torquay ) and a lovely " country house" feel to the hotel. It is very close to the town centre and...

Spent 3 nights here and extremely pleasant stay. Roger the owner was very helpful as was the lady who dealt with the breakfast. Room was very clean and a bonus was it was only a short walk to the town harbour, downside was walking back up the hill. Breakfast was great, shame they did not do evening meal while there...

Haytor Hotel – Review Excellent – we were looking for a hotel/guest house to stay in Torquay a place we both know well and discovered the Haytor, via Amazon. It is very near the town centre, despite the steep walk back up Meadfoot Road! Which for us is much-needed exercise. It is beautifully appointed and comfortable. Roger and Peter are...

A warm welcome from Roger, and a brief introduction to Peter was the start of a great stay. We stayed in room 6 and if the rest of the rooms are like this (which i suspect they are) you won't be disappointed. Lovely chunky furniture. I feel there has been no expense spared with the furnishings, really comfy bed with...

Friendly, clean and welcoming place, situated in a quieter part of the town. Good choice of breakfast, including vegetarian. Cosy and homely little bar to finish off the day with a relaxing drink. Range of rooms to fit a variety of budgetary needs. Felt so comfortable that we are going back in June.
