It's the little extras that make a B&B stand out from the others and Cranborne certainly have lots of them. From a warm hospitable welcome, to complimentary biscuits, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary water, mini bar fridge, hairdryer and the list goes on. Great selection on offer for breakfast with freshly brewed coffee also available. Close walking proximity to the train station...

Upon arrival me and my partner both had a warm welcome from Mandy, who was excellent throughout our stay here. The room was perfect and we felt for the price it was worth much more! The bed was very comfortable which followed by a lovely breakfast and a few cups of lovely tasting coffee in morning. It is well located...

I had originally booked a single room but on arrival I was told there had been a problem with the room so I had been upgraded to a double which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is in quite a busy area of Torquay and, with no double glazing, you can hear some noise from the street. The rooms are...

Stayed with a friend in a twin room. Very comfortable bed but a little bit cramped. Manoeuvring around the beds was a little tricky. Breakfast was really nice, well cooked and lots to eat. All in all a very nice place quite close to the sea. Would stay again.

Centrally placed and easy to access harbour, beach and town. Other places of interest also closeby. Small, cosy room. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay including fridge, tea making facilities and complimentary bottles of water. Very clean. The bed was so soft and comfy that we actually struggled to get up in the morning! Wide choice for breakfast,...

Cosy rooms, ours included a fridge which we found useful. Useful extras in the rooms included bottle water, biscuits, usual toiletries, even a mini sewing kit. Breakfast was wonderful, several options for cooked breakfasts, especially good vegetarian options, a lovely mixture of fresh fruit (strawberries and blueberries) available. Loads of cereals, including a Dorset brand which is really high quality....

Very authentic and traditional British-styled guest house. The room was very compact but comfortable. Breakfast choice was decent and served in relatively large portion. We appreciated the friendliness of the lady owner and had a decent stay. If the signboard to the guest house was brightened up or made more visible, it'd be easier to locate the place.

“Given the age of the building (Victorian) the stairs are quite steep, if that is an issue, a room on the first floor would be best”
