As a returning guest I can only sum up the experience at The Somerville as so very welcoming -it's everything you should be able to expect when staying away - but so rarely actually find! From the moment you arrive you are made to feel that nothing is too much trouble and the entire experience is relaxing and enjoyable. The...

Having stayed at the Somerville this weekend I must share we received outstanding customer service from arrival right through to leaving. The ambiance was warming , the bedrooms beautifully furnished and the breakfast delicious. Everyone was so polite and helpful. Highly recommend you should stay here. We are going back to stay in 4 weeks.

I come from Torquay and all my family live down there, but my parents were having a party for their 40th wedding anniversary. Initially, i thought i would check into the hotel where the party was, but was put off by the reviews on trip advisor! Then i noticed someone had written on there try the Somerville! What a fantastic B&B!! We stayed in two different suites on our 3 night stay. Both of which had fabulous decor, very clean and added touch of liquorice allsorts! Adam and Grant were both great hosts. Thank you for posting such a lovely review. We are constantly updating and reviewing what we do in order to give our guests the best possible experience. We have recently started working with a local bakery and the fresh bread delivered to us daily is proving popular. We are also working with Riverford Organics and now have organic milk, yogurt...

The Somerville in Torquay has to be one of the most incredible B&B stays there is - top value for money, full of thoughtful touches, immaculate and tasteful decoration and a simply wonderful breakfast to boot. If you in the area you should really find an excuse to stay.

Booked late thanks to an unexpected day off work. What a gem! Easy to find. Friendly greeting, given a choice of rooms due to a late cancellation. Spotlessly clean throughout, well decorated and furnished. A good sized room, top notch facilities, including iPod dock and digital radio. Lovely big shower and selection of toiletries, tea and coffee makers, and even...

This was our fourth stay at The Somerville Hotel in as many years and yet again we had a wonderful time. Everything we expected from the luxurious, comfortable room to the delicious breakfast. Very friendly and relaxing atmosphere. We also tried one of the recommended restaurants listed in the guest book (Old Vienna) which was equally fantastic. Can't wait until...

Just had a really nice stay at the Somerville and it stood up to all the other reviews I read before booking. The location is good, the car park is very handy in a town with parking difficulty and the breakfast was excellent. We are already looking forward to a return visit.
