Loved the 5 course meals and breakfast was also very nice. The hotel itself feels a little dated here and there (toilets and hand dryer in definite need of renovation), not a hotel for the less mobile due to the stairs and no lift (saw one room downstairs on way to toilet). Cosy rooms are definitely as described, maid service...

We had two night at the Balmoral on buy a gift. We had a small room overlooking the lovely garden, which I am sure is lovely in the summer. Hotels position is a long way down hill to the town. The room itself was very dated with a small bed and small bathroom. The shower was good. The food was...

My husband and I had a comfortable double room with a stunning view of the garden with distant sea views through the trees. My mother's double room was situated on the ground floor, for ease of access and had a large bathroom with double shower. Excellent food and customer service throughout our stay with the added bonus of a fantastic...

A slightly dated hotel but the staff more than made up for that. The waiting staff were absolutely fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble for them, particularly Nicky and of course her husband.. The location of the hotel is quite challenging particularly for elderly people but the gardens are lovely and I am sure we would have had a different...

We stayed at The Balmoral on a Buy A Gift voucher. The hotel's position is very good with the beach a stone's throw away. The garden of the hotel was lovely with the sunny patio which we were able to make use of for a couple of hours. I understand the hotel is undergoing a refurbishment and the main lounge...

Great hotel with a stunning beach nearby. The staff and food was great, the garden a haven for relaxing, All in all a very nice place to stay. Only let down was the room. creaking floorboards, the kettle could not be filled under the basin tap. the toilet/shower was too small and cramped and there was litter under the beds....
