#87 of 87 hotels in Torquay
Located in its own grounds in a quiet residential area, the Trecarn hotel is just a short stroll from the Babbacombe Downs and the delightful village of St Marychurch. The ground floor public areas of the hotel were the subject of an extensive refurbishment which has been very well received by our guests. The hotel now benefits from well-appointed lounge areas, large entertainment suite and bar. The restaurant has been completely re-styled and now offers a spacious and contemporary dining experience. After enjoying the renowned entertainments the hotel has to offer, you should also sleep better than ever as we have also refurbished 62 of the hotel's bedrooms! The Trecarn Hotel is ideally placed for exploring the surrounding area of Torbay and the delightful South Devon Coast. There is an excellent bus service taking you to town centre and beyond.

Just returned from our stay at the Trecarn hotel, we had 5 days with Caledonian coach holidays. Reading the reviews at first put us off, please don’t believe all of them, we had no problem with our stay, the restaurant even had gluten free meals and even gluten free bread. The food was nice and hot and a choice both hot and cold. Our room 153 was lovely and big and had kettle tea and coffee. You had towels in the room but if you wanted clean towels they would gladly change them for you but you had to take them doesn’t to reception. That didn’t bother us but some didn’t like it, this was just because of everything. The entertainment was good and the drinks were all good plenty of seating, We had a steam and cruise withe the tour and had a lovely day. Just wanted to say thank you for everything, really enjoyed our stay

Just left the trecarn hotel this morning.Had 5 days with them on a caladonia coach holiday.Saw a lot of bad reviews before we left home.My husband and I have had a good holiday with them. Our room was on the front top floor room 184.All just been done up.The meals were lovely lots of choice self serve.Entertainment on an evening was good.In your room you got a kettle tea and coffee, iron ,ironing board and an hairdryer.Towels provided.Down stairs in the lounge was very comfortable. All done out and new comfortable leather seating.Drinks were all good. Thanks to everyone at the Trecarn for a lovely stay. Julie and Graham Dickinson from west yorkshire.😊

My mum and dad are in their seventies and got a room on the top floor and the only lift kept breaking down. They also had no hot water all week despite complaining to the manager. I think not having the basic amenities of hot water to wash or shower in is unacceptable in this day and age. We don’t live in a third world country.
