After a very nice meal just before christmas last year the Paignton Jollyboysdecided a day in Totnes was long overdo, plus the fact we had a "free bottle of wine voucher" to use. On arrival the lovely manager recognised us from our last visit (we arent hard to miss). We were shown to our table and perused the menu, that...

Nice position by the river a 10 minute walk into town, There are not many other restaurants around so it is as well that the bar \ restaurant food here is worthy Bar noise until 12am, the pub had few guests, who knows how loud it could be at a weekend. The Manager's voice was particularily booming and echoed around...

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch here, too cold to sit outside and take in the waterside views but that's best enjoyed in the summer. Food was well cooked and plentiful, very cosy and comfortable. Thoroughly recommend. Will be back!

Love going for a light lunch or supper. Never disappointed. Excellent service and a wide range of delicious meals from lightly fried squid to goat cheese tart... recently have to confess to enjoying their fish finger sandwiches

Excellent accommodation, good attention to detain and nice little touches in the rooms. The staff were amazing, very friendly. The food was also excellent especially the breakfasts. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Really loved the atmosphere and the service was lovely. Highly recommend going here with friends or family for a nice meal, beautiful views and a good pint or two maybe. I had a pie, hubby had a beautiful burger and the boy had sausage and chips; was lush!

Cannot fault the Sunday roast here, the food is piping hot and full of flavour. The service you recieve from arrival is second to none, and all at a very reasonable cost making it a well worthwhile pub to visit.

Great location with parking for guests, a few minutes walk from the town centre. Lovely room (we had the family room) with views over the river. Enormous walk in shower and decent sized bath towels !! Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food excellent. Would certainly recommend a visit or stay.

Went to the steam packet on new years Eve for a family (13) meal. As you can imagine the place was packed but we were shown straight to our table by attentive staff. There was a little wait for the food as you can expect on such a busy night but boy the quality of the food was outstanding. Beautiful...
