With such mixed reviews, I was expecting this place to be quite run down, but it was in fairly good decorative order, and in a quiet part of the city. You have to check in at another hotel round the corner, but there's no longer any hassle with collecting and returning keys, or paying a deposit for keys. All the...

Five of us stayed here for one night during bank holiday week. Hotel was clean and rooms were more than suitable for our purpose. Everything you needed in rooms with very helpful staff to assist with enquiries regarding taxis and leaving baggage once checked out. Amazing breakfast - one of the best full english we have had plus a wide...

The room was average, though a bit strange. I had a bathroom sink in my room, but the bathroom was at the end of the hall. It advertises "all rooms en suite", yet my room didn't actually have one "en suite". At least it wasn't a shared bathroom. Having a mini fridge was a nice bonus. The breakfast was great...

Nice place, room a bit on the small side, unfortunately the floor boards needed some attention as they squeaked rather loud , but the breakfast wow really wonderful and well worth staying here just to have it. Choice of food a delight, thanks for that!

Nice bed and breakfast for a short stay. Breakfast was good and couple that keep the place are nice. The rooms are pretty small, but ours had a bathroom. I was surprised there was a mini refrigerator in the room, because the description didn't mention it. The toilet didn't flush all the way most of the time. No lift, so...

The hotel was clean and inviting. The room was great and so was the en suite. Close to the train and bus station, also Asda. The decor in the dining room was clean and well stocked with everything you could want, and the breakfast was delicious and the family looking after us were absolutely lovely. We are very sad to...

Very close to the centre of the town, less than 15 min by walk. The personal were very well educated and everything was clean and ready at every moment. Bed was very comfortable, but TV was difficult to me to understand: only dating or adult kind of pages were shown in the monitor. I just wanted to watch news, Game...

We stayed at the Mayfield for two nights on a room only basis as we were visiting my daughter who is at University in Bournemouth. We had two rooms, a family room and a double with a four poster bed(!) both of which were more than adequte for our needs. The hotel is in a great setting, a quiet street...

Very Important for a hotel is to be welcoming. Indeed I was welcomed and helped. I enjoyed Bournemouth and the accommodation. The location was great and the breakfast as well. This hotel is part of the hotel where the reception is. I wish to know how the other hotel is. Maybe next time.
