My Wife and I have just spent 4 nights at this hotel and, after some poor reviews we were not expecting much. On arrival we were given room 89 on the second floor. The room was quite large with a double and single bed and the bathroom was more than adequate with shower over bath. The wardrobe was large enough...

being a frequent traveler I always read the reviews and know to ignore the ones that describe somewhere as disgusting. Yes the Carrington is not a 5 star hotel and yes the decor is not as pristine as it once was but it was very comfortable. The room was a lovely size with armchairs to sit and watch TV. As...

Good points: Hotel was well located and the room was an OK size for a family room. Bad points: The Hotel décor was tired, to say the least, and the bath was clearly the original, as it was like sandpaper to sit in. The rooms and public areas in the Hotel were very dirty. The water in the room my...

We had a four-night break, with National Holidays, staying at the Carrington House Hotel. We were on the 3rd floor, at the front, room 125, which was spacious with very comfy beds. It was clean, warm and with plenty of storage. The bathroom was a bit shabby, with a bath and shower combined. Not much pressure so would take all...

A nice, family friendly hotel. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Rooms was clean. No problems in getting extra towels. Good pool, good temperature. They didn't have a problem with extended family coming to visit us at the hotel and also using the pool and giving us extra towels for this. Will definitely stay here again.

Awful. Dirty, noisy place. Stayed on 3rd floor no water pressure woken early by a dog barking in the next room after hardly any sleep due to the most uncomfortable bed ever.Ripped duvet cover, ripped and dirty net curtain at window. Stained, smelly chairs in the room. Dusty and stained skirting boards. Mismatched and totally different piece of carpet under the...

Stayed one night, midweek. You cannot just turn up and get a room at the hotel, you must have pre booked, no big issue just used an app to book while stood at reception. Very good value for money, spacious family room. Reasonable bar prices. Did not eat here.

We didn't expect too much as we didn't pay a lot but we did think it would be reasonable. The reception area was very inviting and staffed by pleasant, welcoming personnel. We booked in with no problems and were directed to our room, on the third floor, via the lift. After the first time we then used the stairs because...
