This is a difficult review to write, due to the price for a 4 night stay being only £149 each, for bed, breakfast & evening meal - working out to only £37.25 per night. On my arrival the hotel reception was very busy with the arrival of a coach party (one of many). This did not effect me as my...

Parking was poor we had to park on the street several minutes away. Room had a stale smell, skirting boards had chunks missing, peeling wallpaper, lumpy bed, window that wouldn't open properly, shower was a drizzle of freezing cold or burning hot. Ceiling was mouldy and the carpet was patchy. I felt like I'd been transported back in to a...

Basically, if you are in the least bit concerned over a hotels hygienic standards, just cross this one off you list. The only reason we ended up here was as part of a Stag do & boy does this hotel have a lot of these group bookings, so be aware of the issues you will face if you make a...

Danger! Where do I start , this place! How about do not ever stay here! Ok here we go, firstly poor customer service at reception, we went to the room in the smelliest lift I been in since my student days in London, that was only surpassed by the smells we were greeted with in the hall way and our...

We were concerned about some of the reviews, but, there was nothing really bad about our stay. The rooms were of reasonable size and clean. We were pleased about the dining room and range of food available. The only down side is that it is quite a distance from the town and other facilities, so we used the bar. No...

Staff were very nice but the hotel itself was AWFUL! Location is not great. We were originally placed in a room with NO WINDOWS! Rooms are in desperate need of TLC. Finding your actual room was an art in itself, similar to a rabbit warren.

We paid £140 to stay on this hotel for 1 Saturday night, I can't express how disappointed we are. We have staid in a number of Britannia hotels and never had an issue before now actively choosing this brand due to prior experience. The hotel was run down. Our room had a carpet held together by duct tape and was...

One of the grandchildren suggested this hotel and we did not look at the reviews until after booking. We agree with many aspects of other reviews. Whilst the bar area is OK our room and corridors were tired or more accurately exhausted. The wallpaper was grimy and peeling and the paintwork chipped. The divan base was grim however the linen...

Unfortunately some of the persons with our trip were on a low budget and this was reflected in choice of this hotel. Desperately in need of a major refurbishment and changes to the room accesses in particular for those less mobile. A busy hotel with numbers of coaches arriving we queued for a long while each morning to get into...
