Stayed overnight in a double room after a family do. Booking was easy and cheaper on the hotel's own website than on Booking.com or Trivago. Paid £52 for 2 including breakfast. The front staff was friendly enough. The room was clean on sight, with crisp white linen. The room was lovely and warm which was perfect because outside was freezing....

Stayed just the one night and was please that's all it was. Although staff were pleasant, the whole place needs updating. Every floorboard creaks like you wouldn't believe, the rooms are extremely small and walls are thin so you can't move around without worrying you will wake the rest of the hotel guests! My shower cubicle was smaller than a...

Room was nice but thin walls and creaky floors. Service was lovely though staff were polite upon arrival all the way until checkout. Hotel is central to the town, bars, clubs, beach. Great walking distance

Last minute booking whilst visiting family nearby. Hotel was comfy and informal, room good and clean, appearing to have been recently refitted. Room rate was very good value and a good full English breakfast rounded off the experience nicely. Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Free parking was a bonus too. All in all a very pleasant hotel that...

Bournemouth has loads of hotels, of very variable quality. While the Montague looks like one of those hotels that have grown by absorbing the surrounding houses it is pretty roomy and comfortable. We were given an absolutely huge room, with an enormous bed and a bath. What more do you need for a night by the English seaside in winter?...
