Stayed here for 1 night and Harbour Heights in Poole (Sandbanks) for 2 nights, and have given both 3 stars, but for very different reasons. The room we had here was, frankly, a disgrace, but the service was superb, and the food was nice and well priced. We came on a hot June Saturday night, and got the last room...

Thank you for your comments and detail as discussed with reception on your departure. We would always advise guests to book either directly with the hotel via our own website or if possible by telephone as we can clarify the exact rooms available that match, as close as possible, to the guest specific requirements. Our reservationists will happily spend as...

I went with a friend to this hotel for a long weekend 20th-23rd June and we both commented on how welcome we had been made to feel from the time we entered to the time we left the hotel. The staff have got it just right, they're friendly, informative and helpful but are not fussing around you unnecessarily. The general...

Went with friends and stayed one night in the hotel. Had 2 rooms on the 4th floor which could have been mistaken for sauna's! The windows only opened about an inch and found one tiny fan in the wardrobe which did nothing but move the hot air around the room. The rooms are not on the cheap side and are...

Hi Jayne, As discussed on departure, the weather had been exceptional hot in Bournemouth over the past weekend, with the warmest day recorded this year. The bedroom windows in the hotel have a safety hinge, however when pressed simultaneously they will release, allowing all the windows to open fully - I apologise that this wasn't explained. The Hermitage, undoubtedly the...

We took a group of visually impaired people for lunch at the Hermitage. We were very well looked after and enjoyed a really delicious lunch. Those members who were unable to walk into the gardens were free to stay in the lounge of the hotel and chat and/or have tea and coffee. This outing proved to be one of our...

Having not been to Bournemouth for twenty five years it was a surprise to find Bournemouth and the surrounding area well worth a visit. The conference centres are modern which are a big improvement since my last visit. The hotel have excellent staff . I believe that reception staff set the tone of a hotel . Right from the front...

We booked into this hotel very last minute and were given a wonderful sea view room! It was beautifully clean, well decorated and very comfortable. We had a brilliant sea view and enjoyed the fireworks on the pier from our grandstand view. We had lovely clean fluffy towels and good toiletries. There was a variety of drinks on the hospitality...

We stayed in a family room (603) and it was like a separate flat - almost unbelievably spacious. Perfect for us. I thought the service at breakfast was poor - none of the girls spoke English and I had to get up twice to ask for coffee (which was nice) and toast (which was stone cold). The hot breakfast selection...
