After booking very late we were pleasantly suprised, parked just outside no issue. Friendly warm welcome. Room was clean and comfortable, with hot shower, Hotel was pretty full with a coach party but suprisingly quiet and peaceful. Well stocked bar reasonable prices, we did not try the food. Definetly stay here again.

The average age of the guests were probably in their 'later years' so found them to be very interesting which added to our enjoyment. The staff were so helpful and friendly nothing seemed to be too much trouble, not that I had any ! We took our dog and fund the location to be ideal for morning walkies. The food...

Great welcome, great value for money! Pleasant staff and front of house. Room was very comfortable, a bit dated but good for the money. Food was adequate, could improve with a little more home cooking. Enjoyed the Turkey and Tinsel festivities with friends and even managed to get a few of the other guests up to enjoy themselves. Thank you...

My sister and I accompanied my elderly mother and partner to the Ullswater photo for a Murder Mystery Weekend. The hotel is typical of the area, basic but adequate. It's very well located; an easy stroll down to the beautiful coastal cliffside walk, or to the great town centre or park, and a big bonus was that I could take...

From booking enquiry to end of stay we could not have been treated better. Previous comments about lack of toilets on restaurant level are valid - and I know caused some inconvenience t some of our party. Overall, the food was good and waiting staff friendly, even if they don't quite understand everything. The hotel has very recently changed hands...

Hotel The Hotel is situated in a great location West Cliff and Durley Chine with easy access to the beach and a stroll in to town. Parking is a premium which is understandable so bear in mind you may have to street park. The hotel is very tired and is in need of some redecoration to bring it to good...
