Absolutely awful hotel. I've never written a bad review until today. The Britannia Hotel in Bournemouth really is a pit. Booked via Booking.com and the room pictures showed that the rooms were bright, modern and clean. The reality of room 208 was the smell of what smelled like it was a home for the unwashed. Disgusting. Dated bathroom with a...

Great location to the nightlife/ shops and restaurants plenty to find within a walking distance. Reception staff friendly. Smallest lift ever. Smelliest bedroom I have ever set foot in, every time we walked in the room it was like getting slapped in the face with the stench. Good 24hr reception. Good bathroom mirror to get ready in but apart from...

Dirty swimming pool with dead insects in water. And was asked to pay £4 to use pool even though I was a guest. On the first evening in the hotel restaurant, there was a good choice of food and 3 different desserts. On the second evening, there was very little in the way of dessert apart from fruit salad. I...

This is not the first time i was staying here, my last stay was about 3 years ago and was something very special. Last time it wasn't that bad, but this time i noticed that the stuff were very rude. At least i haven't seen anyone passing a smile. There was an English lady working at the reception, on 26.10.16...

like most reviews on this hotel, I would rename it 'hells bells' like out of the carry on film, but to be fair their hotel was a little better, ells bells that is. weekend stay moderately cheap and nasty, my fault, should have done my homework. my room was small, bed had no headboard and pushed against the wall, mattress...

My family and I went to Bournemouth for a couple of days and wanted a cheap hotel that we could crash in. Ideally wanting a family room but instead settling for two double rooms at £31 each we thought this was excellent. We asked for rooms side by side if possible but instead we were given the top floor penthouse...

Although the hotel was dated it was clean and the staff were friendly. My main complaint was the food which left a lot to be desired, same desert every evening. The vegetables were under cooked and we could not cut into the roast potatoes on one occasion. Breakfast was fine

We booked this hotel for a 4 night stay. We took our dog with us as this is a pet friendly hotel. Well supposed to be. The dog is not allowed in any public areas, therefore we had to put him in the car while we had breakfast. Never had to do this in any other pet friendly hotel. We...

I'm a Coach Driver using the hotel as a day room prior to working evening and overnight. So why are the cleaning staff waking me at noon? The television is unwatchable. The floor coverings dirty. And didn't Anaglypta wall paper go out in the last century? Pay a bit more and get a much better experience elsewhere.
