From the first warm welcome to a speedy check-out, this was an excellent experience. A spacious room, a good view of the central gardens and a good sleep quality bed rounded off with a quality breakfast. Very COVID 19 aware.

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed in this hotel well over 10 times now since it's opened and our stay over this weekend was the best by far! Lots of positives to share, so to break it down: Service: Was fantastic. There was a slight queue as we arrived bang-on check-in time, so reception sent out small glasses of fizz to guests waiting which put a smile on everyones faces and was a very kind gesture. We then paid for a last-minute room upgrade which was sorted quickly and efficiently at a good price so was able to enjoy a suite with a balcony and extra living space which made a huge difference as the weather was poor. The Sky Bar staff were all friendly and attentive and the breakfast staff in the restaurant were very hard working. Big props to all the staff in the hotel. Cleanliness/safety: Was top notch too. I've stayed in a few different hotel chains since it's been allowed again in the UK and Hilton knocks all the others out the park. Every corner of this hotel from reception to rooms and hospitality spaces is SPOTLESS, the housekeeping/cleaning teams are clearly working very hard during this challenging period. Rooms were immaculate, screens were in place at reception with clear floor markings for guidance of one-way systems and distancing spaces and hand sanitiser is everywhere. Also didn't see anyone (guest or otherwise) without a mask on, so that's great too. Rooms/hotel: We had a suite and a room between three of us and they were all as expected in this hotel - clean, contemporary and very spacious. The suite's extra living space and wrap-round balcony is incredible and well worth the upgrade cost. Sky Bar has great cocktails and wonderful views in the daytime and staff were friendly - breakfast serving has changed due to Covid restrictions, but is still very enjoyable. Overall a really fantastic stay where we all felt very safe, catered for and comfortable. Huge thanks to everyone working very hard to give guests a great stay at the moment.

I had anticipated a higher standard than what the hotel delivered. The room was 510 and it was rather dull and drab. Bed was far too hard and very uncomfortable. In comparison the beds at Premier Inn are far more pleasing . Bathroom was nice and modern and heated mirror was a nice touch but no bath which was a disappointment. Grey carpet looked worn and chair had stain on the arm. Tea and coffee provided but no milk and not a sign of any biscuits. Breakfast was mediocre. Bacon undercooked and scrambled egg flavourless. Also, tea was far too weak. Staff were friendly and hard working especially at breakfast time. So, to sum up: will I come back again? Probably not.

Dear isaandnick01, Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay with the Hilton Bournemouth. I am sorry this did not meet up to your expectations, I have requested our head housekeeper to check 510 and rectify any issues here, so thank you for bringing this to my attention. With regards to breakfast I am sorry this was not cooked to your taste, I am sure our team would have rectified this for you given the chance. I do hope we can welcome you back to exceed your expectations in the future. Kind regards Sonya Young General Manager

As an Hilton Honours Diamond member I've stayed several times at the Bournemouth Hilton and was more disappointed with the standard of the hotel after this visit than I can remember. My main concern was the Hilton policy on dogs in the hotel. I was amazed to see a large number of dogs whether in the bar or being taken into the restaurant which I believe is unacceptable as not everyone wants to be surrounded by animals. One member of my family is allergic to animal hair and I was astounded to learn from reception that ALL rooms in the Hotel are "pet friendly" - the cleaning staff simply do not have enough time to clean efficiently to minimize the risk of an allergic reaction to pet hair and dust. One incident of a dog defecating in the lobby while people were queuing for breakfast was particularly unpleasant. There were a number of stains on the carpets in my room that may well have been caused by pets so this Hilton isn't as clean as I remember. If the Hilton insists on allowing pets why not have rooms dedicated as pet friendly and other rooms/floors designated pet free as they do in other hotels? Overall, the COVID safety measures were effective and the bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and efficient, although the breakfast choice was limited. However, there were no robes in the room and not even a laundry bag - it seems that Hilton are using COVID as an excuse to reduce the amenities in the rooms. I will not be returning to this Hilton while they have a policy of allowing pets into all rooms. Interestingly, the Hampton next door ( a less luxurious Hilton brand) has a policy of no pets and a more extensive buffet breakfast. I had expected better from a the Hilton Bournemouth

Dear NicholasH854, Many thanks for writing your review following your stay with us. I am so sorry to read your experience with our policies on pets. We do allow pets in all our bedrooms however we do ensure that all bedrooms are fully cleaned afterwards and especially since Covid with our Hilton CleanStay sensitisation policy. We do not allow pets in our restaurant area so I am sorry that this was your experience. Thank you for your kind comments on the new safety measure we have in place and the bar and restaurant staff. We do appreciate your feedback to help us improve our service standards further. Kind Regards Sonya Young General Manager

Dear Goldhawk123, Many thanks for taking the time to write your review following your stay with us. I am very disappointed to read your comments on the maintenance in the bedroom which is far from our normal standards. The hotel is currently closed during the lockdown period so we will be assessing all the maintenance issues in your room and reviewing our breakfast offering as we have had this amended a few times to adhere to the government guidelines. We hope we can welcome you back to the hotel again to show you our normal operations and standards on reopening. Kind Regards Sonya Young General Manager
