This is the second time in 2 months that we have stayed with caroline and Gordon. Despite having family in the area, this is even better! As hostess, Caroline is wonderful, and we have been made so very welcome. The first time we stayed was for a family birthday in Dorchester, (no room in the family inns!!)and despite having one...

My husband and I have just returned from a three night stay at The Old Rectory B&B. We can sum up our experience in one word. Delightful. Caroline {and Gordon} made us feel welcome from arriving on their doorstep. Caroline is a wonderful hostess and full of knowledge of the local area. The property is situated in a chocolate box...

Caroline certainly makes you feel welcome. Our room was very clean and well decorated. We enjoyed our breakfast but would have preferred 'proper' bread to sliced! Perhaps we are knit picking but we have our own bread maker and like fresh bread.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay. The Old Rectory is a really top class, comfortable B and B. Caroline is the owner, and nothing is too much trouble. She is friendly, thoughtful, and accommodating - a really good 'people person'. It's obvious that she loves her business and her guests. Not only was the room spotlessly clean,...

Stayed here for just one night while my son was attending a pre vet course near Dorchester. Can highly recommend it! As always, parking is a high priority for me and the car park was spacious and secure with no worries about leaving it there overnight. The room was well furnished and comfortable, very much a home from home and...

I stayed here recently with some friends who are regular guests of this wonderful B&B. The service was excellent right from my initial enquiry email to Caroline to the friendly farewell at the end of our stay. The rooms were fantastic and spotless, the breakfasts were delicious (not a scrap of grease in the full English!) and the service from...

We stayed with Caroline and family for a romantic weekend on the South Coast. The property is very beautiful and wonderfully appointed, this very much matching the warmth and friendliness of Caroline. The room was large, comfy and we slept in grand comfort under the canopy of a four post bed. Our fine experience continued with breakfast which was freshly...

As regulars to The Old Rectory we have stayed in each of the rooms and all of them are beautifully presented and very comfortable. Breakfast is always delicious. On our last visit we were delighted when Caroline and Gordan allowed us to 'test drive'the Weymouth room in The Old School House that they have lovingly renovated to an extremely high...

The highlight of our 2013 'Dorset Tour'. We had two wonderful nights with a gracious, charming and friendly hostess. Caroline was helpful and knowledgeable with useful hints about local attractions. The Old Rectory is ideally placed for exploring Abbotsbury and Corfe and Dorchester etc. etc. We stayed in the ‘Dorchester’ room and, as previous reviewers have said, the four-poster was...

Amazing house, rooms and delicious english breakfast set in lovely gardens - Caroline could not have been more helpful in accommodating us, even letting us collect the key and drop our bags off a day before.
