I much enjoyed my three days walking while staying recently at Aquila Heights; this excellent Guest House is conveniently situated for those who wish to walk inland or along Dorset's majestic coastline. I met with a warm welcome from Derek and Wendy upon my arrival at a house which is beautifully presented for the benefit of guests and my single...

We have just returned from our second stay at Aquila Heights. This B&B is in an excellent location, within walking distance of the town centre, railway station and bus routes. Derek and Wendy have been busy decorating and upgrading some of the rooms and ours was one of them. Great new decor and refurbished en suite. Everything you need to...

We booked into one of the superior rooms for four nights as a base for bird watching around Dorset. The guest house is ideally located on the outskirts of Dorchester so we were able to get to the A35 very easily. The new Brewery Square development is a 15 minute walk from the Guest House (pub/restaurants/shops) which we visited most...

We stayed here for two nights in March 2017. We expect B & B's to have comfy beds and good breakfasts - and Aquila Heights certainly ticks those boxes. So how does a B&B stand out from the crowd? Derek and Wendy seem to have the answer - their warmth and hospitality made it a real pleasure to be invited...

Spent two nights while attending a friends wedding. We were 2 adults and a 10 year girl. The room was spotless and easily comfortable for the three of us. A great shower with a large selection of toiletries. Nice view with a very short walk into town. The breakfast menu is extensive and very well cooked. There is also a...

Easy to find and owners were welcoming and attentive - it was obvious they have thought about the details that make a stay away from home comfortable. Breakfast was very good and we got some helpful advice on what to do in the area.

My mother and I stayed at this wonderful and affordable B&B during late November 2016. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to change our itinerary in order to spend more time in Dorset and stay at Aquila Heights. The building is full of charm, the setting (Maiden Castle visible from the upper floor) is lovely, and the hospitality...

Very nice location- on the outskirts of town, so it is spacious. An easy short drive to the center of town. I love the city, but it was nice to be in a quiet area. Interesting area- we were doing genealogy so it was perfect to have advice for where to go. Car parking was available, a little tight for...
