Nice Valentine's Day dinner. This hotel is a very relaxing antidote to busy city life. The staff are attentive and kind . The friendly cat that plays in the garden is really sweet-great asset for the hotel especially for cat lovers. Mark the gardener is still doing a fantastic job bringing the garden back to its Victorian splendor. The hotel...

Booked a last minute getaway, 4/6 February, stayed in room 10 with the four poster bed, I wouldn't pay extra again for this room as it was right above the kitchen and we were awoken on Sunday morning about 7.30am by a very loud radio being played, we went down to reception and complained and the music stopped, the receptionist...

Stayed at short notice last weekend for a much-needed break; and got an amazing deal by phoning the hotel. There is ample free parking. The main hotel is a very old house with a fascinating history and many architectural features to admire - if you like that sort of thing, you'll enjoy the surroundings a lot. We stayed in Louisa...

We stayed here for two nights. Our room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was a miracle of compactness! The food was excellent and we ate in both nights. The grounds look as though they would be very pleasant in the summer, sadly it rained pretty solidly during the time we were there, which rather restricted our movements. A nice...

We stayed for 2 nights whilst on a weekend break doing some coastal walking. The hotel was comfortable, well maintained and the staff provided excellent service. Breakfast was first rate and served in the conservatory overlooking the well kept gardens. It's location ensured that we did not need the car all weekend within a 5 min walk of various pubs...

My wife Sarah and I wanted a weekend away after a full-on month at work after Christmas. We chose well at this fantastic hotel. The room was lovely in the main house. Dinner from the 'bar menu' was as good as some restaurant food we have had. The freshly sourced sea bass, was perfectly cooked and flavoursome blackcurant cheesecake was...

A quirky style hotel - very modern lodge to the rear of lovely gardens, a large dining area in a greenhouse style building, and a lovely old style building at the front. Very comfortable rooms in the lodge, friendly staff at the bar and at breakfast. A 5 minute walk down into Swanage.
