We stayed here for two nights. Our room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was a miracle of compactness! The food was excellent and we ate in both nights. The grounds look as though they would be very pleasant in the summer, sadly it rained pretty solidly during the time we were there, which rather restricted our movements. A nice...

We stayed for 2 nights whilst on a weekend break doing some coastal walking. The hotel was comfortable, well maintained and the staff provided excellent service. Breakfast was first rate and served in the conservatory overlooking the well kept gardens. It's location ensured that we did not need the car all weekend within a 5 min walk of various pubs...

My wife Sarah and I wanted a weekend away after a full-on month at work after Christmas. We chose well at this fantastic hotel. The room was lovely in the main house. Dinner from the 'bar menu' was as good as some restaurant food we have had. The freshly sourced sea bass, was perfectly cooked and flavoursome blackcurant cheesecake was...

A quirky style hotel - very modern lodge to the rear of lovely gardens, a large dining area in a greenhouse style building, and a lovely old style building at the front. Very comfortable rooms in the lodge, friendly staff at the bar and at breakfast. A 5 minute walk down into Swanage.

Purbeck House in Swanage is a little gem and a must stay if you visit Swanage. It is a converted Victorian mansion that retains all of the charm and glory of its former days. the rooms are large and airy with high ceilings and elegant doors and windows. The staff are friendly and well trained and the restaurant serves good...

My husband & I had stayed at this hotel on several occasions previously and always enjoyed our stay but we had the lovely added bonus of a free upgrade on this visit! The weather was bitterly cold outside but our suite in the main hotel was so cosy and warm! Everything was perfect including friendly staff, crisp white bed linen,...

Ww booked at the last minute to get a well-earned weekend break. The booking process and the welcome were excellent. We were shown to room 7. A large bedroom/sitting room with beautiful furnishings and sea views. The bed was a very comfortable king size with good pillows so we slept very well. :) We decided to eat in the restaurant...

This was a surprise weekend trip..and one of the best! The most amazing, beautiful Victorian building... Puginesque par excellence! Huge room with a lovely Victorian fireplace, high ceilings, fat cast iron central heating radiators and wonderful windows operated by counterweights, pull the white handles to raise and the brown handles to lower...or was it the other way round? But the...

Our second time, a Christmas gift from our children. The hotel is a joy, traditional, quiet, friendly and welcoming. We stayed in Louisa Lodge, quiet, clean and perfectly located in the High Street with a rooftop sea view. We love the place and will return whenever we get the chance. Top class staff and service.
