This is a very basic hostel. The kitchen/lounge is not bad, but it's underground and not very clean. You have to leave a 20 pound per person deposit for the room, and another 10 pound deposit if you want to rent a set of crockery to eat in the kitchen. Our room was on the 4th floor and the bathroom...

Look - not the Ritz, but if you're looking for a room in Brighton to crash during a weekend out, perfect. Bring some earplugs if you're a light sleeper (there's a cafe underneath) but come on people - just have a few drinks out in the hundreds of pubs around you and you'll be fine. (I'm the tall one in...

I had a great time in Brighton and the hostel did not ruin that for me, but if you like things clean and comfortable I would not go here. Of course, it is not expensive so you cannot expect a greatly luxurious stay but this went a little too far. The rooms (as well as the toilet, the kitchen, etc.)...

The location is fantastic! Right by the beach, 10 minutes from the coach station and close to restaurants and shops. The staff was super friendly and there was an electronic key card to enter the building (20 GBP deposit). However, there were no lockers and the room was rather drafty. Also, it wasn't very clean, the kitchen floor was always...

Except the location and clean sheets everything was terrible. The man on the reception didn't tell us the cheaper parking lots to park our car. If we believed him we would pay £24 for our car. Hostel corridors were stinking. We stayed at the room with en suite. No wifi was available. Beds were extremely thin and squeaking. Walls were...

Ran Brighton marathons and Stayed here the night before. The room is compact but more than enough room. The staff on the front were great, and on the Sunday let us leave our bags in reception till 5pm whilst I was out running, which was a massive help! Walls are thin and we heard lots of noise so didn't sleep...

Staff was unprofessional and rude. I was told that I had only "half a brain" by one of the staff members. He was scottish and a very unpleasant person. I had called in advance to tell them that we would be arriving late and was reassured that there would be somebody there to let us in. They almost wouldn't let...

It is what it is, and what it is, is a hostel. The staff were friendly enough. We had our own basic twin bed room with ensuite shower and toilet. The beds were very creaky as we're the flooring. The walls were thin and every step up the stairs, or every word spoken, by our fellow guests, were heard throughout...

Fantastic value for money, perfect location, room was quiet, it was warm, bedding was clean and comfortable, the room neighbours were barely heard, had an ideal en suite bathroom, only downsides were no towels (obviously), the bathroom door wouldn't close properly and there was no decent size mirror in the room. But apart from that it was perfect.

After reading reviews for this hostel I was worried about the conditions but decided to give it a try. Upon arrival I was greeted by two friendly men at the reception desk who were pleasant to chat to and explained the hostel experience to me as I'd never used one before. After making my way to the room I was...
