Just had two of the best days accommodation for a long time 😊 We arrived very early but were allowed to leave our bags and go exploring. We went back early evening and checked in ☺ to find our bags had already been taken to the room. We had a lovely room, white clean linin on the bed with a...

Found Guest and the City through booking.com. High traveller rating fully justified. Great welcome from David and Eric who really seemed to want to make my stay in Brighton special. Nice cosy room and comfy bed and bedding. Great breakfast and very good value for money. Excellent location for exploring beach and the quirky shopping. Will definitely go back there.

Myself and my boyfriend were visiting Brighton to see my sister, and David and Eric made us feel extremely welcome. The B'n'B is lovely, modern, clean and the bed was so comfy (room 6) - perfect for a nap after a 3 hour train journey. Being able to build our own breakfast was a great touch and you felt like...

Stayed for 4 nights. Comfortable rooms with a hot shower. Excellent breakfast, fresh and hot with a choice of what you wanted plus I was given a bottle of bubbly with my breakfast as it was my 40th birthday. Definitely come back.

We enjoyed our time at Guest & the City. Comfortable room, charming host, clean, quiet, good breakfast, good wifi, great location. Small bathroom. Seriously small. (Not surprising, all buildings in seaside Kemptown are small scale models of real buildings). Guest & the City had made ingenious use of their not-much-available space (if you're in room 5 check the mantelpiece in...

A great place to stay - a very warm welcome from David and Eric, helpful service throughout, a clean and well appointed room, and the best breakfast I've ever had at a B&B in the UK! It's also very conveniently located for the seafront, city centre and Kemptown

Just got back from a lovely stay. David and Eric were wonderful, even leaving little Easter treats in the bedroom for us. Brilliant location for walking into town. David even helped me find a parking space, which was very much appreciated. Breakfast was lovely and with good quality produce. I would recommend them highly and would definitely stay with them...

Very warm welcome from Davis and Eric who were very attentive, nothing seemed to much trouble and they were most helpful. Rooms nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious. Great location to visit the attractions of Brighton.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Guest and the City is a boutique Guesthouse that reflects all that we love about Brighton. With seven private bedrooms, situated in the heart of Kemptown, minutes from the centre of Brighton, 30 seconds from the beach and opposite the famous Palace Pier, it’s the perfect location to explore Brighton for Business or pleasure. We want our guesthouse to reflect everything we like about staying in Brighton. Guest in the City therefore takes the best bits of a traditional B&B – a relaxed, friendly service, a central location and of course a top-notch breakfast with locally sourced ingredients – and puts them in modern, high-spec surroundings. The result is a boutique feel without luxury prices. To us, that’s what Brighton is all about – finding new things that surprise you and make you smile. ... more   less
