We stayed here for our anniversary and had a lovely weekend. Welcoming and very friendly hosts with a lovely room. Clean with crisp linen sheets and a small balcony where we could see the water front. We were helped to find somewhere to park, and the hotel was very central to everywhere, but in a quiet street. Very nice breakfast...

Stayed here for a Saturday night in March 2017, and could not be happier with our stay. This stay was a present from a family member, and so I wasn't sure what to expect as I hadn't booked it myself. But from the personalised emails prior to arrival, to the immediate assistance finding a car park space, to the bottle...

What a brilliant little hotel :) I stayed at the hotel overnight with a friend and we were greeted at door by David who was very welcoming and friendly. He gave us our key cards and paperwork and also a card with his number on if we needed anything during our stay. He then took us to our room(Room 6)...

Hello! Thank you once again for staying with us and taking the time to share your experience and your amazingly nice and kind comments. We also appreciate the two points points you raise which I totally agree with and would improve our guests comfort. The shower doors should have been installed during the quieter winter months however in all honesty,...

Stayed for a weekend. David who was there was really welcoming. The room was exactly as shown on their website. It was quiet and located in the centre of town and also 60 seconds from the sea front. The bedding was lovely. Crisp white cotton. A little tight on space but very comfortable bed and a nice shower room. David...

Lovely place to stay ... very central, charming hosts, scrummy breakfast. Parking permit available and David sorted out a space for me. Recommend visiting Brighton Pavilion especially with the audio guide.

Stayed here for two nights and we were very well looked after. Great location close to the sea as well as bars and restaurants. We had a lovely room, a bit compact but well laid out with lots of facilities. Breakfast was fabulous and freshly cooked. Would recommend staying here and we will be back.

Spotlessly clean B&B. Close to the sea front. We had a comfortable double room with en suite. The breakfast was fantastic with perfect poached eggs. The owners and staff seemed to be determined that we have a great time. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They succeeded. We would definitely return.

We stayed here for one night and it is a really nice place to stay. It's been refurbished to a high standard. Our room and bathroom were rather small and overlooking the houses at the back, but was nicely furnished with good lighting and nice touches such as free bottles of water and packets of sweets. We only met one...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Guest and the City is a boutique Guesthouse that reflects all that we love about Brighton. With seven private bedrooms, situated in the heart of Kemptown, minutes from the centre of Brighton, 30 seconds from the beach and opposite the famous Palace Pier, it’s the perfect location to explore Brighton for Business or pleasure. We want our guesthouse to reflect everything we like about staying in Brighton. Guest in the City therefore takes the best bits of a traditional B&B – a relaxed, friendly service, a central location and of course a top-notch breakfast with locally sourced ingredients – and puts them in modern, high-spec surroundings. The result is a boutique feel without luxury prices. To us, that’s what Brighton is all about – finding new things that surprise you and make you smile. ... more   less
