Very well named hotel, classy decor throughout. Bar service top quality and the room was perfect. Nice breakfast in the morning as well. Only complaint I'd have is the outside noise of the air conditioning unit in the building next door but just a mild inconvenience.

Beautiful good size room which you don’t get in boutique hotels, lovely bar downstairs, amazing value £130 for a Sunday night including breakfast. Only downside was you can’t check in until 4pm which means you aren’t in your room for long by the time you go out for dinner and we had a generator next to our room- 211 so there was a humming noise all night which disturbed our sleep! So I would definitely go back but avoid room 211!

For the purpose of this review it was a visit to the bar and not an overnight stay. Went on the 24th March late afternoon/early evening drinks and cocktails for a family members birthday. Previous family members have stayed at this hotel before and had a very good experience. Positives: the following staff went above and beyond in the bar and the front desk/concierge area to make us feel welcomed and give us a ‘grand experience’ which as a first time guest I would have expected , having been recommended this establishment for its service and attention to detail. The staff who were a good example included a bar supervisor(didn’t get her name blonde haired French sounding lady) who was very professional , Olivia (waitress in the bar/lounge area) who worked incredibly hard.Lastly a Slovakian gentleman(sorry didn’t get his name worked on front desk area dark haired/slim build) at who kindly sorted a last minute dinner reservation and a suitable taxi on a busy Saturday night. The wine was also good and a fair price for what was provided however their was some areas which I felt needed some improvement. Negatives: Firstly the remaining staff on shift I did not feel were particularly attentive to guest needs considering service charge was added to each round of drinks(which was paid) could be improved. Secondly the other thing I personally found was that the cocktails were not the same consistency as the previous ones ordered( Long Island Ice tea). One of the members of the party did not feel like ordering cocktails because of this reason. Also just an observation some concierge staff need to be more attentive to incoming guests needs as we not even asked if we needed any assistance when we arrived. Overall some very good individual staff however for the levels of service provided generally for the cost incurred I would think twice whether I would return.

We took the opportunity to stay here as we had tickets for the theatre, and although we only live 15 miles away, staying here was something we had always promised ourselves - so glad we did. Highly recommended.

This used to be such a speical place to treat yourself. Now it has stripped back all the things that made it good. Inexpereinced staff, aged rooms, closed spa, underwhelming drinks at high costs....etc We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversay there and both agreed it used to be so much better. COVID can't keep being blamed for poor expereinces. Get decent hospitality staff and put some energy back into the place.

Fantastic hotel with such attentive, friendly staff. Basic inland double room but decor was lovely and bed comfy. Cyan restaurant was lovely with great service and breakfast was outstanding. Concierge staff and valet parking a real plus, we had a few issues at check in but they were quickly resolved and the rest of our stay was amazing! Shame we couldn't stay longer but will definitely be returning.

I would recommend staying here when in Brighton. Great team, building and service. From check in through to the bar device everything was done well. Plenty of staff to serve but not interfere. The same was true of the great breakfast, great food in a lovely setting.
