Booked this hotel/guest house/squat for NYE, my budget was not a problem, up to £250, what we wanted was comfortable room, near to Preston Street where we were having dinner with family. If it had not been for the fact it was NYE, I would not have even walked up the stairs, this is how grotty this place is. It...

We were peremptorily shown our room by the grumpy and discourteous proprietor, who the next day was incredibly rude when we complained that there was no hot water in our room and the shower was extraordinarily hard to operate. The owner openly treated his guests with withering contempt ('all guests are idiots'). His sarcasm was especially evident when I pointed...

Fabulous location on historical Regency Place. Amazingly cosmopolitan restaurant strip round corner. All major highlights walking distance. Friendly if somewhat laconic welcome. Ask for room 23 buy a bottle (or 3), sit on the balcony and watch the world go by including the permanent residents of the Square.

If you enjoy the aroma of Ancient Long Gone Dog, then this is the hotel for you! As soon as you walk through the front door it whacks you in the face, leaving you breathless. After ascending the filthy carpeted stairs my tiny room awaited (25). Very Boohoo chic I think with all the trappings of 90's living. But what...

lovely room with balcony facing the square with table and chairs, the room was very clean and the bathroom small but very clean. In the hotel there are tourists information for to visit the city, and in the morning the breakfast was very good with a good choice of food.

Stayed here 2 nights. Room was slightly small but clean and comfortable. Good shower, soft towels. Good sized TV on the wall. Tea and coffee. Breakfast was really nice. Fresh fruit salad. Cooked breakfast was really tasty, good quality bacon and sausage. Would stay here again

Stayed here for 2 nights July 2016 as a base for a family wedding. It is very central and for somewhere to put your head down it is fit for purpose. Very basic I stayed in a single room and it was a comfy bed. Has everything you need. Downside is that the smell when you walk in is very...

Stayed two nights last weekend at The Adelaide House Hotel and enjoyed my stay there. It is just round the corner from the sea front and not too far from the centre of Brighton. Often in these reviews people state the room was too small, no problem as I was in a single room and as long as it as...

The hotel is dated and could with a complete overhaul, but I found it to be comfortable with everything I needed for a one night stay. The staff are lovely, the room was clean and had all the usuals - tv, tea making, wifi etc, with a lovely added touch of a small chocolate bar. Shower room is small but...
