We love Brighton and visit 3-4 times a year, totally saddened that we have never come across Square Townhouse before. This place is amazing. So much so, I've already booked another stay for my hubbies birthday in March
Rooms are cosy, very modern, and very clean. Love that you are able to top up your own bottles of water, which is readily available for guests.
Great well stocked residents bar.
Breakfast was delicious.
Staff, very friendly.
Perfect location, with great bars and restaurants all within walking distance.
Highly recommend Square Townhouse.

Friendly staff really do make a hotel and everyone, including the room cleaners were nothing but nice and helpful. The square the hotel is on is a good location for the beach and hopefully you'll be able to grab a parking spot (roughly £18 per 24 hours). We stayed on the heatwave weekend and sorely missed A/C in our room. A fan was supplied and we left our sash windows wide open but that made for a broken nights sleep on both nights, not to worry though as that sort of heat is rare and it dad make our trips to the beach and swims in the sea soooo much better! The rooms are a little on the small side but the bathrooms are great and the Japanese bath has to be tried, it's great!

After a tough couple of months we wanted a short break and I picked this hotel based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. A great location only about 5 minutes walk along the front to Old Steine, or a couple of minutes to St James Street where there are some great eateries and lots of small shops. Our room was lovely, tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge with complimentary water and proper milk for our tea, There is a coffee making machine - no instructions but I have no doubt any of the staff would help. We were a bit early but our room was ready and we were able to go in. Super comfy bed, windows that actually open, lovely and quiet and lots of hot water. Our room number was 22. The staff were lovely, James & Marcus served us at breakfast (not to be missed under any circumstances) and also the young lady who checked us in whose name I didn't get (sorry) and everybody kind and helpful. If you have mobility issues I would ring and make them aware, there is no lift and once James knew I wasn't great with stairs he moved us to a first floor room. There were 10 stairs to the landing & another 4 to the room, manageable for me I would really reccommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again

I often read other trip advisor reviews before I deliver mine. It must be very hard work for any hotel to maintain a continuous 5 star rating, the pattern is clear, this hotel has very high standards. A very friendly welcome puts you at ease straight away, and throughout our stay the service did not waiver. Often my reviews will be relative to expectations when considering what it costs, hence the 4 stars not 5. Like many other comments on TA the room was spotless and the bed comfortable, however one evening the wind picked up and began rattling one of the sash windows in our room, annoying but easily solved by wedging a folded tissue in the gap, but I shouldn’t have to being doing this at 2 o’clock in the morning. It was also a bit on the chilly side in our sea view room especially in the morning but this may have been down to a heating problem that had just occurred because I happen to overhear another guest actually complaining and management trying to solve. Breakfast was to a high standard but not everything on the menu was available, my wife chose a smoothie on the first morning of our stay only to be told there were none available, the following morning a similar choice was made and again there were none, with a very good green grocers around the corner the little things like this can easily be solved for the following day, it would be better to omit these choices or announce that they are not available when presenting the breakfast menu. In my opinion it is usually all the little things which make the difference between a 5 and 4 when your paying hundreds a night. Great location, attentive and friendly staff, cleanliness of room second to none, just need to keep an eye on those little details.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Square Townhouse and love staying here when we are in Brighton.
The SQT is well situated with easy access to all the main areas in Brighton. The staff are amazing and can't do enough to help. The rooms are stylish, very comfortable and are well equipped. The room was quiet and the curtains are blackout curtains - essential after a late night. Our room had a large double ended bath and separate rainfall shower.
Filtered still and sparkling water is freely available to save on having to buy plastic bottles of water.
We highly recommend staying here next time you're planning on visiting Brighton.

We had an amazing time here. The staff were great and attentive. Attention to detail was great, they have clearly spent a lot of money on the refurb. Lots of bling, bed was really comfy and they easily catered for us vegans. Great location, was very quiet and we stayed Saturday and Sunday night. Parking for 24 hours in the little square is about £17 so not too bad compared to other parts of Brighton. Would definitely stay there again.

From start to finish, this beautiful boutique style hotel was truly one not to pass by.
Upon arrival we were met by Hugo very welcoming, who carried my bags to the room (No’ 5) while my partner went to park the car. Hugo then explained everything in the room.
Our room was sea view, every little detail from homemade biscuits to champagne glasses to water glasses, coffee machine to a bath and separate shower was second to none.
We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and met James, very friendly and welcoming.
I totally recommend this hotel for a romantic weekend, everything was on our doorstep lots of restaurants and shopping within easy reach.
We will definitely be returning to this hotel in the very near future. KK

The hotel has many wonderful features including the well appointed rooms. The room we had was a little on the small side but the little extra features such as real milk and a coffee machine were lovely touches. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and the shower was lovely. It’s position is excellent being so close to the beach and only a short stroll to the pier. Parking permits are available at the hotel or you might be lucky and get a space around the square. The only thing that would stop us returning was the lack of air conditioning in the room. The heat made for an uncomfortable night despite the fan.

Superb hospitality- we were made to feel really welcome. Lovely room with everything you need ( tea, coffee maker, fresh milk etc). Modern bathroom with shower and plunge bath.Superb breakfast -a great choice and beautifully cooked. Recommend buying the parking permit as you can then leave your car for 24 hours without worrying about it. Will be back!!
