Stayed here for one night and I can honestly say it is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. My room was basically a shop front right on the street so I had to keep the curtains (which were falling down). It was smelly - urine, smoke - and really badly looked after. The windows had mould, the lift was disgusting and all the fixtures and fitting were falling off or dirty or badly maintained. I would absolutely avoid this hotel and considering they charged me £116, I think the hostel would have been better. Everyone we spoke to at the hotel was disgusted with it too.

I spent one night here on a visit to the Brighton Early Music Festival. The concert was fantastic, the hotel fantastically awful. Paid over 170 pounds for a room with mouldy windows, a bed with a lopsided mattress and a toilet with a seat that was at least one size too small for the bowl. Extortionate!

Having read previous, very mixed reviews, I arrive with some trepidation. I was greeted by the receptionist behind the glass window and did wonder if I was booking a taxi rather than checking in. The reception staff were all delightful, I was given my key and opened my door with nervous angst at what may await... It was absolutely fine. Clean with tea and coffee facilities and a little kitchenette. No unwanted intimate hairs in the sheets and fresh towels. All clean. Yes, the curtains were not lined and questionably hung but they stopped people looking in so.....fine! The shower was happiest when freezing cold or boiling hot so I opted for less pressure but bearable temperature. Again, it was fine! Most importantly, I stayed here as a single female and felt safe! There was a dead lock on the door in addition to the key card. That in itself was worth it! The door staff always acknowledged my exiting and entering of the premises which I was grateful for. If you are staying for pleasure and want to make use of hotel facilities then there are plenty of other hotels at double the cost. This one was ideal location for a rest and bed! Thank you

We decided to come a day early for the party conference and stayed here for one night only. The hotel very basic it does not service breakfast, we were advised by the friendly staff in reception are to go to the majestic just down the road an excellent choice, For the price the rooms are reasonable, a plus point might be the mini kitchen provided in the room.
