Mixed reviews on our stay here for my sister's hen weekend. The rooms are reasonably priced with breakfast included. The location is not far from the beach or main attractions, restaurants etc. I'm not sure if the check in procedure is different with Covid at the moment but the receptionists were rude on a few occasions and didn't come across well. The rooms were spacious with good amenities (hairdryer would be useful!) and mostly clean. One of the bathroom toilets hadn't been cleaned before we checked in. Breakfast service was well-thought out with Covid; we booked a time slot the day before and we ordered all items on the day by completing individual slips. Great choice of breakfast items (continental and cooked) and soya milk offered. Two of the cooked breakfasts were forgotten so needed to remind the staff. This delayed our check out and led to another rude encounter with the receptionist. Prior to arriving, I was impressed with the correspondence with the manager and it was a comfortae stay. Customer service definitely needs to improve though.

Overall good if you don't interact with some of the staff, wouldn't really come back.. Liked · The location was great, I had been there previously as my friends used to stay there while studying at university. The place was clean and they were very helpful this time as my mum booked by mistake for only one adult and didn't notice until the morning of check-in, so we had to call last minute and the staff at reception amended it for my partner to be able to stay with no extra costs as it was originally meant to be for the two of us. Very nice staff through the couple of days of my stay but that changed for the last few hours. Disliked · On our last day of stay 23.07.21, we woke up to have breakfast at 9.30 and things at the cafe seemed a bit tense. Some items we ordered for breakfast didn't arrive and others we did not even ask for them as it was too much and we did not want to waste them ... they brought milk but no granola..etc. It took ages for the english breakfast to arrive and instead of scrambled egg they gave me fried egg which had the yellow completely cooked.. The guy working there was extremely impertinent to one of the other girls working there. She was literally ignoring him as he really was being annoying and nasty. He even told her to 'F*ck off' in front of all the diners. After the bad experience there, we ended up leaving the cafe at 11am which is supposed to be the time of check out. Previously hoping to have from 10.30 until 11 to quickly get ready and check out, we ended up leaving at 11.30-11.35, so we went to the reception. There was waiting for us a lady who seemed like a manager literally telling us 'ACTUALLY, you have to pay 25 pounds extra! I tried calling you several times!' To which I responded no one called us anywhere, she said she called our room but we never heard any phone ring. Anyways, it's not about the extra money which I would have been happy to pay even though we should have been on time if it wasn't for all the drama in the cafe.. but about her manners and really rude way of saying it. We did not even feel like saying 'thank you' or 'have a nice day', which she didn't say to us anyways.

Great location and staff. Lovely breakfast and breakfast service. Comfortable room but bathroom very disappointing. Almost size of a shower cubicle, stained counter, broken shower screen. Was flagged as 8.2 in tripadvisor reviews and didn’t match up to my expectations re an 8.2. If you’re after something more than adequate, this isn’t the one for you.

Excellently placed 10 minutes walk (downhill!) to the beach, with some brilliant pubs and bars en route (shootout to Oast). View wasn't much but how is that their fault? Room was comfortable, shower was amazing, fan was a huge relief after a day in the sun. Staff pleasant and helpful, breakfast was tasty and varied, no issue holding baggage while we mooched around on our last day. Would stay again!

Excellent location and welcoming and friendly staff. The room wasn’t as clean as I would expect, with the Nespresso machine and TV remote being particularly dirty. Decent bed and good shower pressure. Included breakfast was good. Fan included in the room was a nice touch. Easy check in/out process and there’s security on the door 24/7. I can’t fault the staff or location, decent place to stay if you’re in the area for a night or two.
